We performed a comparison between ABBYY Vantage and Ephesoft Transact based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."Vantage is flexible and customizable. It's a low-code/no-code tool, so you don't need to get into detailed coding. You can also use AI to accomplish medium-complex tasks."
"It saves us a lot of manual work."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to capture data from documents with different formats."
"The solution's technical support is very supportive."
"The solution has its own language that can be configured many ways and with higher accuracy than other products."
"Identifies and extract relevant elements from a document."
"We like the fact that this solution is enterprise-ready, so it can be deployed on-premises, scale it, etc."
"The most valuable features have been the rate of recognition and the structured documents."
"I like the inject feature. With desktop injects, we're doing all these things and extracting these things. Its stable, scalable, and technical support is good."
"Transact's best feature is its ease of customization."
"I have found the keyword extraction to be helpful."
"The system does not always train itself to recognize data properly."
"I would like to see a machine learning model to make the solution more intelligent."
"The initial setup was relatively complex. The people who install it must be knowledgeable about what they are doing."
"I think that technical support should help instead of developing a solution from scratch every time you reach out to them."
"Since we are using a trial version, we don't have administration access to create a tenant to integrate my OCR series with Postman."
"Even though the training works, it's not as good as it is made out to be."
"Their tutorials are not enough. They can improve the tutorials and maybe add more examples in their tutorials. Currently, if you want to learn ABBYY technology, it is very difficult. There are just a few resources, such as YouTube channels and blogs. There are not many resources for learning ABBYY."
"There are certain controls like radio buttons and checkboxes that when reading PDFs, really doesn't go well with the RPA."
"It's not easy to train."
"Transact could be improved by removing Java and making its pricing more accessible for smaller customers."
"Their email service and extraction could be better. We get the input via email, and these emails contain different types of documents like Excel, PDF, or they may contain different content in the email body. Due to this variation, sometimes the email service crashes, and emails aren't redirected to Ephesoft Transact. Ephesoft has provided us with new hotfixes. Whatever flaws we found in the 2019.2 version, they have already updated it in the new version, 20.1.05, and it's already released. Drawbacks like not capturing the handwritten fields are now sorted."
