Helps in document processing, but it needs more custom features
We use AutomationEdge as a complex processing tool The product helps in document processing. The product's most valuable feature is the executor. We cannot use extra modules while working with AutomationEdge. It crashes if we have lots of data to process in Excel. We must be able to add more…

It makes our employees' jobs easier by eliminating repetitive tasks
UiPath's automation features are all equally valuable, but we use the unattended bots the most. UiPath is easier to handle than most RPA technologies, and it's easy to install, so it's a competitive solution. The UiPath community has helped us troubleshoot issues. For example, if a bot isn't working properly, we can go to the forums to find the root cause of the problem. My technical team uses the UiPath Academy to get certifications and gain a better understanding of the product, but I haven't used it. We use some of UiPath's AI functionality, which makes it easy for us. Predictive analysis suggests the next logical step and what could be the possible solution for that. It tells you the possibilities and the pros and cons of each step.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The support from the vendor is very good."
"We can quickly adapt to our end users."
"It helps us with cost optimization and easy implementation."
"The product's most valuable feature is the executor."
"Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten...I rate the technical support of the solution a nine out of ten."
"The most valuable feature of AutomationEdge is creating accounts."
"The chatbot that they have is most valuable. It is one of the best features because they own it, and they don't need to integrate with other parties to have a chatbot. This is one of the main features. The rest of the features are common to all RPA tools or vendors available in the market."
"The ability to automate our processes with external plug-ins and zero code is the most valuable feature."
"It offers an advanced and in-depth set of features, allowing for intricate and specific automation tasks."
"The most valuable feature of UiPath is its usability. It's very easy to understand."
"The biggest benefit that we have from UiPath comes from using the API."
"They are providing an architecture that is really amazing."
"It helps mitigate the risks. With traditional native active directory delegation, it becomes real messy, real fast. You lose oversight on who has access where. We are an acquisition merger company, so we let go of certain companies and onboard new ones. With native delegations, you lose track on who has access where. With Active Roles, we can always see who has access and what they can do in a very granular way."
"The Excel automation in UiPath is very easy to use. Even for complex scenarios, we can easily automate the process. And that is true for email automation as well."
"UiPath's most valuable features are automation and document understanding."
"The Orchestrator feature is the most valuable of all the automation solutions I have used, including OpenBots, Robocorp, and Microsoft Power Automate."

Cons

"The installation process could improve. It was difficult to complete."
"They could provide more technologies for IT and security to enhance machine learning capabilities."
"With the solution, customizing software can be time-consuming."
"The price of the solution could be improved."
"With other automation solutions in the market, we can simulate the process in our notebooks where the solution creates the code for us, but with AutomationEdge we can't do this."
"There are some shortcomings in the product's stability that need improvement."
"We cannot use extra modules while working with AutomationEdge. It crashes if we have lots of data to process in Excel."
"It's not an intuitive tool."
"Studio is a bit overwhelming in the beginning. They could get add some details, but not so many, into the foundation training. I've seen StudioX and loved the colors. Please get the colors into Studio. I loved the flow and that you got all these activities and colors too. It was so much easier. It was visually easier to understand where to click. It was really user-friendly."
"Sometimes, we do find that the bots misbehave or there are bugs that prevent the bot from executing even when the business cases are completely listed out. It could be that the cloud Orchestrator doesn't send the trigger to the runner systems to start the process because of small internet fluctuation. Sometimes, we find that the processes are killing the execution themselves and going into a halt state without any errors in the program. So, we do see some reliability issues, but these happen once in 20 or 30 instances. They are not on a regular basis. However, when that happens, it does create panic, and we have to immediately rectify it. If they can focus on that, it would be good."
"Orchestrator needs an overhaul. They have added so many functions that it is sometimes quite hard to find the right settings."
"I would like them to continue to build and make Studio easier to use for non-technical people."
"The user interface can be improved and the version control can be better."
"There is currently room for improvement in the area of ease-of-use."
"We would like UiPath to make some enhancements to the cloud version to provide more flexibility for OCRs, email models, and AI centers."
"They should add chatbots functionality for Microsoft Teams and not only for Slack."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The licensing for this solution should have a more competitive pricing model. The price is in the top five of similar products."
"Price-wise, AutomationEdge is pretty affordable, making it not so expensive when you compare this with other tools in the market."
"Pricing can be made better. Currently, I think the pricing is based on the market. The pricing also depends on the business partners that offer you the solution."
"I give the price of the solution a nine out of ten."
"If you are looking for a budget solution, you can consider AE. It has all the features. Scaling it is way easier because of the cost itself."
"The product is available at the lowest price."
"The price of UiPath is higher than competitors, although the cost depends on what functionality and tools you require"
"The solution has gotten pricier."
"UiPath is starting to price itself out of the market. It's getting expensive. That's fine if they continue to push the envelope of what they offer, but it's all about perception. And the perception over the last two years with my customers is that it's expensive."
"We saw ROI in 15 days."
"Traditionally, Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism are the biggest things competing against UiPath. Those are usually what most of the clients lean towards, if they see a cheaper licensing option. Clients choose UiPath because it's easier to deploy and learn within their teams."
"Our licensing costs are around $40,000 a year."
"I think the setup cost is quite nominal, but the licensing might be on a higher side when compared to Automation Anywhere."
"The price is a bit high, but UiPath is worth the cost, given its ease of use and features."
