We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"With some of the other tools, you have to buy 20 different plugins to get to the same capability that comes with the basic Agility capability.""It allows my clients to have one central tool to manage their agile projects.""Agility is highly flexible. It can do much more than what our client is doing with it. They use it in a defined way. Some at that company have a much broader knowledge of agile and SAFe, but they're given applications and a mandated way to work. We had to work within their parameters and provide an accurate transition so the data would be mapped and pushed through.""For visualization capabilities, the automation capabilities make it possible to support the different personas. The features and capabilities are excellent and come with excellent support.""It can generate reports showing a burndown chart, burnup chart, and the planned vs actual velocity."

"Align enables the capture of all capabilities.""In our workflow, we utilize a dashboard. Our product development backbone relies on two-week sprints. At the beginning of each sprint, we conduct a planning meeting to discuss and challenge the backlogs. Throughout the sprint, we conduct daily sessions to review code, ensure alignment with coding standards, and address any issues. Once all tasks are completed, we proceed with the deployment process.""Being able to do PI planning using the program levels is most valuable. I find that the program-level reporting is most useful.""I joined the company because they had a large project, and as a startup company, they needed to scale up efficiently. My task was to review the current baseline, assess the team's capabilities, and propose solutions to increase production capacity. Upon observing the process in Jira Align, I realized we didn't need to invest heavily in expanding capacity.""It's easy to set up.""The reporting structure is great.""In my previous experience, the Portfolio and Structure feature in Jira is really valuable because it assists with forecasting for projects.""Some of the most valuable features are the configurations and dashboards."

Cons
"The user interface can be improved by adding Save, Edit, Add, Cancel, and Return buttons to the popup windows that are displayed when you click on a child item.""Improve how to create and track releases. Currently, I have to create child projects.""There is room for improvement in getting the analytics portion of the solution more integrated with the rest of it.""The machine learning features are a new capability but could be improved. This is being worked by Digital.ai currently. Multicolor simulation, specifically, could be improved.""In my work as a contractor, it's always frustrating when a client has multiple software applications that don't talk to each other and they all perform the same function. That presents a huge challenge between their IT groups."

More Digital.ai Agility Cons →

"There is no linkage between the Jira records and the overarching schedule. We maintain the overarching schedule in Microsoft Project, and there is no linkage back and forth with the Jira tasks. They are independent of each other.""Jira Align should reduce the many information fields we need to provide while closing defects.""In my company, we found the solution to have many issues regarding its ability to handle claims and other processes since the solution is not available on a single window.""One area where Jira Align could improve is in its licensing model. There was a significant change in the licensing module about six months ago, which resulted in increased costs for customers like us. This change wasn't communicated clearly, and it made it challenging for companies to adopt Jira Align without facing higher expenses. In terms of features, I would like to see improved workflows in the next release, as that would greatly benefit our organization.""Jira Align's user interface needs improvement because its user experience is really bad.""The tool must provide better bulk editing features.""There are fewer customization options in Jira Align due to how it was designed.""The framework could be better."

    Reviews from Real Users

Jira Align stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its program-level planning options and its reporting capabilities.

A project manager at a consultancy notes, “I like how things can be sorted out, and it shows the different objectives one can do. You could also create a team view that would allow your team to see work outcomes. Jira Align also helps with the reporting, because we can export data to Excel or another format.”
