With good integration and expansion capabilities, the tool also offers good technical support
In my company, we use HPE ConvergedSystem since it provides servers The most valuable feature of the solution is the integration of the tool with other HPE solutions is good, especially since we use HP Data Protector for data backup. The product's integration with storage devices is also a good…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution's technical support was good. I rate the technical support a ten out of ten."
"The most valuable features of the solution are the flexibility and the availability of the machines."
"Consolidation and duplications features."
"The user interface, reporting, and management are good, and we are quite happy with the performance."
"The storage, BladeSystems, Virtual Connect, and simplicity with hyper-converged solutions are the most valuable features of this solution."
"Most of the HP products I come across are they are easy to install. That's not very complex."
"The flexibility is the most advantageous aspect of the solution. Our system has a very big environment. Due to this, the replication and backup operation is not an easy task. We prefer HPE SimpliVity modules in our environment, even when we have some different cases in operations."
"We use the solution for DDI."
"The features I have found most valuable are the convergence of the infrastructure and multi-platform support, for example, VMware and Hyper-V"
"It's very simple to manage. It has reduced the footprint in the datacenters quite a lot."
"We use the Omnicubes to replicate our data to a second datacenter. By having our company data on the Omnicubes, we ensure that all of our data is constantly replicated within the defined intervals to the remote site."
"Offsite backup, replication, and duplication of data are important for our plant environment since we are hard on our equipment."
"The access, high availability, and interface are the most valuable and important for us. There is one interface for the whole product, which is very important because you have a single pane to view all the infrastructure of a customer. You can improve your data recovery plan or DRP, or you can make a special emergency plan if a disk has any problem."
"Its performance is quite good, and it is also easy to use. One of the biggest benefits is the included backup solution."
"Improves backup time and DR solution."
"Valuable features include ease of use, disaster recovery, and reliability."

Cons

"It could be enhanced by improving the built-in backup solution."
"The solution has a complicated front-end."
"HPE ConvergedSystem needs to improve its price."
"Perhaps they can work on providing faster allocation of memory or storage."
"HPE ConvergedSystem needs to improve its management. I would like the tool to add cloud management features so that the system can be accessed anywhere from the cloud."
"There is some scope for improvement in support. The response time could be better."
"Features that should be addressed concern the HPE functionality and the interaction with VMware."
"This is an expensive solution."
"I have some worries about the support after the acquisition. The support was better before HPE acquired SimpliVity."
"SimpliVity has little to no integrations."
"It could integrate better with other platforms. It's a proprietary solution of HPE, so you are stuck. Before I was running SimpliVity as an independent solution. it wasn't a card and software, so you could put in whatever server, IBM, Dell, etc."
"We had one call with technical support which was not completely answered to our satisfaction. We did not receive the right answer."
"While it has been a while since HPE acquired SimpliVity, there is a lack of understanding/awareness about the product. In short, it took me time to actually make them understand they had a product named SimpliVity, which as you can imagine does not instill a great deal of confidence."
"SimpliVity needs to add support for Hyper-V and KVM."
"One thing that I would like to see improved is the flexibility of the node expansion."
"SimpliVity's data management could be better. Nutanix's interface is a bit more user-friendly."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"This is an expensive solution."
"The tool's licensing costs are yearly."
"The pricing is sensitive."
"I rate the product price an eight and a half on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
"My company has a five year contract for HPE ConvergedSystem. The contracts depend on companies and sometimes it can be three years. The solution is worth its price."
"The pricing is competitive. Not a major problem. We have a subscription model."
"There are some extra costs in addition to the licensing costs for the yearly maintenance from professional third-party services."
"Pricing is good. We have not calculated what hyper-converged infrastructure has brought us but I think there has to be some lower cost for us, compared to the public cloud. Obviously, there would be a lower cost, probably by more than half."
"It is not expensive. We bought its license for two years. For support, we pay yearly."
"HPE has decided to sell the solution in all-flash configurations, which may not be as cost effective for smaller mid-market enterprises."
"It is not too expensive, but it is quite expensive for me."
"It has helped to reduce our VMware licensing costs due to host consolidation."
"For the VMware licensing, it is approximately $10,000 a year."
"Its licensing is quite easy. There is a model license, but it depends on the system you buy. There are no extra costs. There is only one license."
"Other vendors fall short on price compared to HPE on this product."
"I think it's a complete package. We buy the license with support for five years. It's a subscription, I will say, but it's included when you buy the SimpliVity solution from HPE. You have a contract with the software warranty and upgrades."
