We performed a comparison between IBM Security QRadar and Splunk User Behavior Analytics based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two User Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."We have the abilities to monitor each instance which originates on the process along with the performance of each department."
"I have found visibility very helpful for analytics."
"It showed us where weaknesses were in our environment, so we could actively target those patches first."
"The visibility it gives you into your infrastructure has been great."
"There are other third-party plugins that we can use."
"There are more than 120 extensions in QRadar, which are easy to install and configure. These can improve your analysis of events."
"The monitoring and dashboards are great."
"The solution is easy to use, manage, and review all incidents."
"The solution's most valuable feature is Splunk queries, which allow us to query the logs and analyze the attack vectors."
"It is a solution that helps test and measure customer satisfaction."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to search through a large amount of data."
"This intelligent user behavior analytics package is easy to configure and use while remaining feature filled."
"Because of some of the visualizations that we utilize, we are able to understand strange, unusual traffic on our networks."
"The solution appears to be stable, although we haven't used it heavily."
"The product is at the forefront of auto-remediation networking. It's great."
"Splunk is more user-friendly than some competing solutions we tried."
"The solution is expensive compared to other products."
"I would like to see some artificial intelligence and alternative solutions."
"A lot of information that we receive for the devices is IP-based, but it would help if we could have a default dashboard in which we can add more details about the assets for which we are receiving the information. For example, if it is a Windows or Linux device, we only get the IP for that particular device. We don't really get the name and other details of that particular device. For that, you have to drill down into your own asset management system. It would be good to have a place where we can probably add this information so that we don't have to look into other tools."
"The technical support is poor. Mostly because when I open a PMR for IBM, I am stuck with Level 1 staff. As an engineer, nothing that I am bringing them does not require Level 2 or Level 3 support."
"The product is good, but one feature they should have is an Elasticsearch. Currently, in QRadar, there are no Elasticsearch criteria."
"The solution should include remote action capabilities."
"I think QRadar is very complex. It's a distributed system and IBM QRadar has an all-in-one solution which is not like that distributed solution but it's a good product. IBM needs to consider the user interface because if we compare it with AlienVault, the AlienVault user interface is fantastic but the IBM QRadar user interface is very complex. They should focus on how to make it easier for the client."
"The only problem is that if you have too many events that occur, then the storage capacity becomes a problem. We would need to increase the storage capacity."
"The correlation engine should have persistent and definable rules."
"In the future I would like to see simplified statistics and analytical threats."
"It could be easier to scale the solution if you are using it on-premise, not in the cloud."
"I'm not aware of any lacking features."
"The ability to do more complicated data investigation would be a welcome addition for pros, though the functionality now gives most people what they need."
"The solution is much more expensive than relative competitors like ArcSight or LogRhythm. It makes it hard to sell to customers sometimes."
"There are occasional bugs."
"If the price was lowered and the setup process was less complex, I would consider rating it higher."
