Centralizes endpoint and security management, is easy to use, and can help simplify app updates
The Intune suite offers a lot of features. The AutoPilot feature is helpful. Endpoint privilege management is very good. You can bring your own device setup. You can use it in combination with conditional access policies for encryption. Migration from on-prem to cloud is good. The settings catalog and configuration profiles are also very, very useful. Intunes brings all of our endpoint and security management tools into one place. This is a good thing. We now have one portal to check instead of dozens. I'm really happy with that. The overall user experience is quite nice. I have no complaints from end users regarding their devices enrolled in Intune. We've used CoPilot. We have nothing to complain about, however, it is very expensive. With CoPilot, we summarized a few of our policies and devices, which were great. We check the properties of the devices, hardware, of the devices, and so on. Mostly, we played around with the summaries of the policies, however, we switched it off since it was running for a couple of days, and it was a few hundred euros for those few days. Witnessing the benefits of Intune happen quickly. Clients usually begin to see benefits after the kickoff meeting. Intune is an ongoing development product. It helps both greenfield and existing setups. It's not static. We'll work with policies and versioning, and after every quarter, we'll review our policies and update where necessary. If clients used Intune managed services, they get policy updates included in the managed service. Intune is good for securing hybrid work and protecting data of the company while bringing our own devices. We use device framework policies from Microsoft themselves with some minor adjustments. They have level one, level two, and level three policies. You can just fix the settings of their site, and that's also what we use. Then we just tweak and bring in our own experiences. The endpoint privileged management enables users to enforce privileged access and can positively affect user productivity. In in small environments, the end users are, in 99% of the cases, also local admins on their devices, which is obviously not good. In bigger environments, we get into that less often as it's more of an organized thing. That said, in small environments, everybody is a local admin and that brings certain risks with it. So users can install and download everything they want. With endpoint privilege management, we can set rules for specific applications, and then, a user can ask for approval to run a certain application, which is very good. Intune positively affects overall IT productivity in organizations. If users need to install it on a device that they need in their workday or day-to-day business, they can just grab it themselves from the company portal app. They do not have to wait. They do not have to enter a support ticket that goes to the help desk to request a certain type of software. They can do it themselves, so they save a lot of time. Intune, when applied on the cloud, can save on costs. With the cloud, there's no on-prem infrastructure that needs service, electricity, space, or cooling, for example.

Reliable, user-friendly, and flexible
In my personal use case, I connected my system with the computer diagnostic center. There were some software updates and there were some temp file issues that I dealt with and I would troubleshoot using TeamViewer The solution enhanced our productivity and has smooth remote accessibility. The…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Agile and easy to deploy MDM solution that covers the maximum number of policies. Stable, scalable, and with knowledgeable technical support."
"Being able to manage the devices remotely is most valuable. We can push security requirements through Microsoft Intune."
"The ability to send configurations to our systems is valuable, particularly as we don't have a regular Windows AD server. Our current environment doesn't have a Windows AD, which limits our ability to push GPOs. However, this is where the solution can step in and help us push policies."
"There are so many features, but Windows Autopilot is one of the features that are very valuable for most customers."
"The standout features of Intune are its excellent mobile device management and highly effective application management capabilities."
"Microsoft Endpoint Manager is not expensive overall, especially for small environments."
"Easy to use."
"A great solution for anyone wanting a modern endpoint device management solution."
"The most valuable features of TeamViewer are the high performance and it is not complicated to use, neither for me nor for the one I'm helping."
"The solution is a very good tool for monitoring and for remote access. Anyone is able to use it, it is simple to use."
"We also use it a lot for remote site assistance. We've set up our internal authentication for unattended access to our remote sites. That makes it very easy and convenient to remotely connect with our users and our client machines whenever we need to. It's set as a direct, secure connection. As long as the station has internet access, we can see it and it makes remote support very simple."
"It's pretty easy to use. Just key in an ID and password and connect. For meetings, just enter the meeting ID and connect."
"This solution is straightforward to use."
"The most valuable feature of TeamViewer is its ease of use."
"The most valuable feature of TeamViewer is the ability to remote into another device."
"The most valuable feature of TeamViewer is its ease of use and beneficial remote access."

Cons

"The solution requires Mac support."
"There could be more wizard-driven policy development or creation. Some of the policies can get quite complex. If they have a wizard that assists the administrators in creating the policy, that will be a great job."
"The initial setup is a little bit complex."
"They should make it easier to order it, however, that's generally true for everything from Microsoft."
"In the past, I raised some tickets for the enhancement feature, which was missing in Intune."
"We haven't really gone through all the features of Intune. We are just discovering them. Every day, we see a new feature that we want to apply, but what will be great for Intune is to be able to deploy apps in a simple fashion. We should be able to easily install various apps on the Windows platform, iOS, and Android. Currently, we have to write some scripts. It's not as straightforward as we would like it to be. It should be simplified so that we can do it just with three clicks—next, next, finish—without needing to write a script."
"Data leak prevention can be integrated into it. Currently, it does not have data leak prevention."
"The mobile and tablet-based versions need improvement because they are not completely user-friendly, compared to the web version. Also, data synchronization with our existing asset manager, the synchronization between multiple assets and multiple devices, takes a lot of time due to the security scanning. It should be reduced."
"Voice communication and screen communication or face-to-face communication could be improved."
"You can't configure multiple, unattended control passwords on the Mac. On the Mac, there's only one. On Windows, there are multiple unattended control passwords. I have people in different departments. My infrastructure people need to control a server and my developers may need to go into that same server. But I don't want them to have the same password... on the Mac, it can be done but it's extremely clunky and problematic."
"We have a consultant that helps us do the virtual aspects of TeamViewer."
"TeamViewer could be more secure."
"TeamViewer can improve connectivity. I had some problems connecting to my clients and now I use AnyDesk."
"TeamViewer could improve by having support for other operating systems, such as Linux."
"It would be useful if the solution could facilitate more than one remote user accessing my desktop at a time."
"There is a paid version of this solution with more features available. However, they should provide more free features to the user, such as factor authentication."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Microsoft Intune's pricing is reasonable."
"Microsoft Intune is included in the E5 license at no additional cost."
"There is a license needed for this solution and it is either included in one of the enterprise license agreements. Microsoft licensing is a mathematical institute, it could be quite complex. We tend to ask specialized organizations to research what the most profitable way it would be for us to use licenses in the organizations."
"The price for Intune is fair."
"On a scale of one to ten with one being the cheapest, the cost of Microsoft Intune is a five."
"Its price is in the medium range. It is acceptable because you're paying for the features. I am not aware of any additional costs."
"It is cheap, but as compared to Google, it is costly. Google is cheaper, but quality-wise, Microsoft Intune is better."
"I recently got to know that the AD P1 license is compulsory to use Intune Autopilot, which was surprising for me. Earlier, this was not the case. It is the wrong thing to do. We now need to purchase AD P1 licenses for us and for our customers. I would rate it a seven out of ten for pricing."
"We are using the standard free version of TeamViewer."
"We have an annual subscription that is just under $1,900 with no additional costs. We get these promotions about upgrades and stuff like that, but we haven't had a need to add more seats. Users can also use TeamViewer for home use with a non-commercial free license."
"We are not using the solution for commercial use therefore it is free to use."
"We are using the free version of TeamViewer."
"The price was cheaper than what we were previously paying. At the time that we went with TeamViewer, we were using ShareConnect. The TeamViewer package was about half the cost and able to have a bigger number of users."
"We are using the free version of TeamViewer."
"TeamViewer's price is cheaper than some other similar solutions. We have licenses for our users."
"We have a corporate license. The maximum amount number of users changes based on the amount you pay. E.g., with our license, there is a maximum amount of users who can use the solution at the same time (10 users)."
