We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It also does a good job when it comes to optimizing performance with machine learning and AI. It's able to identify the VMs that are constrained and not constrained, and which ones are "bully" or not. It gives you a recommendation based on your usage. It learns your user environment.""The pricing is very good if you compare it to other competitors.""We can also manage our disaster recovery plan from a single console.""It's easy to spin up VMs and makes cluster maintenance easy, especially with the LCM (Life Cycle Manager) that is built-in. That helps do installs of AHV or even ESXi. You can also upgrade the AOS software that runs the Nutanix clusters. And you can upgrade the firmware, which is nice.""The most valuable features are Prism Central and the Disaster Recovery.""The HTML5 interface is very robust.""I like the general usability for general configuration. It is sufficient for everyday operations.""Duplication and compression work for data in a hybrid solution."

"It's a good solution. It covers all aspects of monitoring purposes.""What was very compelling about OpsView was that we could dial out the noise and have meaningful and actionable alerts.""I am satisfied with the overall product since it works well…It is a stable solution.""We use this solution for internal monitoring our own cloud platform because we are a public cloud provider. We also use it for monitoring purposes on behalf of our clients.""The most valuable feature of Opsview is the ability to clone the services when you're monitoring something out of the test setup."

Cons
"With our previous storage solutions or hardware platforms, when there was a failing component, the replacement component was shipped out the next day. There was no user interaction needed for that process. With Nutanix, sometimes I have to open the ticket to begin the hardware issue... The process itself is not extremely clear and I've been assured that that process will be improved in the very near future.""The replication we have does not have any backup systems built-in. We have to separate license records for backup, like onboard. We would like to have this in a future release.""There are a few areas related to visibility on the dashboard that can be improved. It's good, but the visibility can be improved in terms of single locations.""Each era every year, new economies arise and ways to develop the platform to improve both the interface with the end-user and to make the main load more flexible to the specialized user of the platform.""It doesn't integrate very well with any backup solution.""I think that the Nutanix Prism Pro the terms it uses, it's not very user-friendly.""Nutanix Prism could improve by having more features or configurations in the web interface. We should not have to use the command-line interface(CLI). For some clients using the CLI can be difficult.""Nutanix Prism can be more stable because it's not as stable as VMware."

More Nutanix Prism Cons →

"Customized reporting can be improved.""Some of the graphics on Opsview could be improved.""Maybe the graphical representation can be improved. It can be enhanced for better visualization. It could be a little better. And the graph center can be improved.""In a future release, we would like to have Observ for AI. Any AI and intelligence it can add to the monitoring is obviously beneficial. We would also like to have automated callouts.""Pricing and a few certain aspects in the solution needs to be improved."
