We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"As a frequently audited company, we value PingSafe's compliance monitoring features. They give us a report with a compliance score for how well we meet certain regulatory standards, like HIPAA. We can show our compliance as a percentage. It's also a way to show that we are serious about security.""The solution is a good alerting tool.""Cloud Native Security has helped us with our risk posture and securing our agenda. It has been tremendous in terms of supporting growth.""The multi-cloud support is valuable. They are expanding to different clouds. It is not restricted to only AWS. It allows us to have different clouds on one platform.""The management console is highly intuitive to comprehend and operate.""We like the platform and its response time. We also like that its console is user-friendly as well as modern and sleek.""Cloud Native Security's best feature is its ability to identify hard-coded secrets during pull request reviews.""We use the infrastructure as code scanning, which is good."

"The two most valuable features are container security and the capability to discover workloads.""The CSPM and CWPP functionalities are pretty good.""I like Prisma's ability to integrate with other tools. We can integrate it with Jira so that when Prisma triggers an alert, it opens a ticket in Jira. That was a big selling point for the product. There's a feature called the guest custom template that allows you to trigger alerts in Jira based on the template. That can also be added as a feature on Jira.""It supports the multi-cloud environment beautifully.""Syslog CLIs are the best feature.""Prisma scans things and shows all the vulnerabilities and packages that are vulnerable, and which layers, by default, have vulnerabilities. So developers can easily go into the package or a particular layer and make changes to their code. It's very transparent.""I find the CSPM area to be a more valuable and flexible feature.""This solution helped us by allowing us to schedule and fix things. This is not an easy thing if you're managing 1,000 plus resources."

"I like the conformity and workload security modules. Workload security is all about intrusion detection and prevention. Trend Vision One - Cloud Security has behavioral rules that are auto-populated based on organizational structure. That's one aspect that we liked most.""It has the best EDR functionality for cloud and typical endpoints.""Trend Vision One goes beyond standard endpoint security by offering a dedicated IPS mechanism with a unique, separate database for servers, along with a large feature set specifically designed for server environments.""The perfect package for all security platforms, providing more than any other endpoint solution.""The most valuable features are intrusion prevention and anti-malware capabilities.""The tech support is excellent. They really know their products. They also know a lot of about the integrations between different solutions.""I really like Trend Vision One - Cloud Security's dashboard.""The stability is quite good."

Cons
"Maybe container runtime security could be improved.""We wanted it to provide us with something like Claroty Hub in AWS for lateral movement. For example, if an EC2 instance or a virtual machine is compromised in a public subnet based on a particular vulnerability, such as Log4j, we want it to not be able to reach some of our databases. This kind of feature is not supported in PingSafe.""Some of the navigation and some aspects of the portal may be a little bit confusing.""PingSafe takes four to five hours to detect and highlight an issue, and that time should be reduced.""PingSafe can improve by eliminating 100 percent of the false positives.""In addition to the console alerts, I would like PingSafe to also send email notifications.""Currently, we would have to export our vulnerability report to an .xlsx file, and review it in an Excel spreadsheet, and then we sort of compile a list from there. It would be cool if there was a way to actually toggle multiple applications for review and then see those file paths on multiple users rather than only one user at a time or only one application at a time.""I would like PingSafe to add real-time detection of vulnerabilities and cloud misconfigurations."

More SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security Cons →

"Some of the usability within the Compute functionality needs improvement. I think when Palo Alto added on the Twistlock functionality, they added a Compute tab on the left side of the navigation. Some of the navigation is just a little dense. There is a lot of navigation where there is a tab and dropdowns. So, just improving some of the navigation where there is just a very dense amount of buttons and drop-down menus, that is probably the only thing, which comes from having a lot of features. Because there are a lot of buttons, just navigating around the platform can be a little challenging for new users.""I would like Prisma Cloud to improve its mapping feature to increase usability.""The dashboard can be created at the user level instead of the cloud account level, which will help save time.""The challenge that Palo Alto and Prisma have is that, at times, the instructions in an event are a little bit dated and they're not usable. That doesn't apply to all the instructions, but there are times where, for example, the Microsoft or the Amazon side has made some changes and Palo Alto or Prisma was not aware of them. So as we try to remediate an alert in such a case, the instructions absolutely do not work. Then we open up a ticket and they'll reply, "Oh yeah, the API for so-and-so vendor changed and we'll have to work with them on that." That area could be done a little better.""We'd like to have more native integration with clouds and additional security checks in the future.""We had some teething issues with Prisma Cloud by Palo Alto Networks, but overall, it did what we expected.""It would be ideal if they could somehow reduce the deployment time.""While Prisma provides a lot of visibility, it also creates a ton of work. Most customers that implement Prisma Cloud have thousands of alerts that are urgent."

More Prisma Cloud by Palo Alto Networks Cons →

"The pricing can get high.""The product could use a little bit of automation.""The initial setup is easy for someone who operates container platforms on a daily basis. However, it could be difficult for those coming purely from informational security or another field of an IT.""Documentation on cloud architecture and job architecture would be helpful.""Trend Vision One - Cloud Security could improve connections with different types of authentication and user groups concerning cloud services.""Securing S3 using Trend Vision One - Cloud Security can cost too much. Trend Vision One - Cloud Security has a tool that requires lots of privileges. From my understanding, it's only for static application testing, so they need to add dynamic application testing, and there should be more collaboration with the application testing tools on the market. We have not used this product, and I don't know if they plan to decommission it or something. They should focus on application security because this tool's unique feature is multi-cloud support. However, they should improve integration with tools for these kinds of use cases, especially application security and dynamic scanning. For example, I would like it to support Dell SecureOps. I'd also like to see some enhancements to API gateway security.""Trend Vision One - Cloud Security should address threats automatically without having user input.""The workbook insights generate a massive list, making it inconvenient to review."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "As a partner, we receive a discount on the licenses."
  • "It's a fair price for what you get. We are happy with the price as it stands."
  • "I wasn't sure what to expect from the pricing, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a little less than I thought."
  • "Singularity Cloud Workload Security's pricing is good."
  • "Singularity Cloud Workload Security's licensing and price were cheaper than the other solutions we looked at."
  • "I understand that SentinelOne is a market leader, but the bill we received was astronomical."
  • "It's not expensive. The product is in its initial growth stages and appears more competitive compared to others. It comes in different variants, and I believe the enterprise version costs around $55 per user per year. I would rate it a five, somewhere fairly moderate."
  • "The pricing is fair. It is not inexpensive, and it is also not expensive. When managing a large organization, it is going to be costly, but it meets the business needs. In terms of what is out there on the market, it is fair and comparable to what I have seen, so I do not have any complaints about the cost"

  • "The purchasing process was easy and quick. It is a very economical solution."
  • "Our licensing fees are $18,000 USD per year."
  • "One thing we're very pleased about is how the licensing model for Prisma is based on work resources. You buy a certain amount of work resources and then, as they enable new capabilities within Prisma, it just takes those work resource units and applies them to new features. This enables us to test and use the new features without having to go back and ask for and procure a whole new product, which could require going through weeks, and maybe months, of a procurement process."
  • "The pricing and the licensing are both very fair... The biggest advice I would give in terms of costs would be to try to understand what the growth is going to look like. That's really been our biggest struggle, that we don't have an idea of what our future growth is going to be on the platform. We go from X number of licenses to Y number of licenses without a plan on how we're going to get from A to B, and a lot of that comes as a bit of a surprise. It can make budgeting a real challenge for it."
  • "From my exposure so far, they have been really flexible on whatever your current state is, with a view to what the future state might be. There's no hard sell. They "get" the journey that you're on, and they're trying to help you embrace cloud security, governance, and compliance as you go."
  • "If a competitor came along and said, "We'll give you half the price," that doesn't necessarily mean that's the right answer, at all. We wouldn't necessarily entertain it that way. Does it do what we need it to do? Does it work with the things that we want it to work with? That is the important part for us. Pricing wasn't the big consideration it might be in some organizations. We spend millions on public cloud. In that context, it would not make sense to worry about the small price differences that you get between the products."
  • "The pricing and licensing are expensive compared to the other offerings that we considered."
  • "I don't know a better way to do it, but their licensing is a little confusing. That's due to the breadth of different types of technologies they are trying to cover. The way you license depends on where you're securing. When they were Twistlock it was a simple licensing scheme and you could tell what you were doing. Now that they've changed that scheme with Palo Alto, it is quite confusing. It's very difficult to predict what your costs are going to be as you try to expand coverage."

  • "It's a slightly expensive product."
  • "Pricing for Trend Micro Cloud One Container Security in the corporate market is okay."
  • "The is price is 25% cheaper than it was a couple of years ago, which is good."
  • "The price could be lower. That is a bit of a consideration."
  • "The pricing for Cloud One is reasonable because my costs scale up and down based on my infrastructure usage."
  • "With everything I deal with, Trend Micro Cloud One's pricing is somewhere in the middle."
  • "One year ago, Trend transitioned to a credit system for licensing, which has confused users."
  • "While Trend Vision One - Cloud Security was a cost-effective solution for us in 2021, we've noticed a recent price increase that makes it less affordable."

    Reviews from Real Users

Prisma Cloud stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its integration capabilities, as well as its visibility, which makes it very easy for users to get a full picture of the cloud environment.

Alex J., an information security manager at Cobalt.io, writes, “Prisma Cloud has enabled us to take a very strong preventive approach to cloud security. One of the hardest things with cloud is getting visibility into workloads. With Prisma Cloud, you can go in and get that visibility, then set up policies to alert on risky behavior, e.g., if there are security groups or firewall ports open up. So, it is very helpful in preventing configuration errors in the cloud by having visibility. If there are issues, then you can find them and fix them.”

Luke L., a cloud security specialist for a financial services firm, writes, “You can also integrate with Amazon Managed Services. You can also get a snapshot in time, whether that's over a 24-hour period, seven days, or a month, to determine what the estate might look like at a certain point in time and generate reports from that for vulnerability management forums.”

Trend Vision One- Cloud Security Security provides comprehensive cloud security, threat protection, and compliance monitoring. Users commend its advanced features, ease of use, and strong performance in keeping digital assets safe. The platform improves efficiency and productivity for organizations while offering excellent customer support.
