Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I would rate the technical support very well as they are knowledgeable and quick to respond."

More Quest InTrust Pros →

"Splunk Enterprise Security offers two valuable features: the Common Information Model and arrangement modules.""The client site login is pretty extensible and probably cost-effective.""The solution's most valuable features are its ability to transact in the cloud and its ability to onboard data easily with minimum connectors.""The most valuable features in Splunk are the search function and the ability to run selected session reports. The session reports are important because I can use them to see what is going on in our environment weekly. Additionally, we can use the graph to see how often that particular event is happening.""The initial setup isn't overly complex.""It is very scalable.""The most valuable feature is the log aggregation, being able to scan through all of the logs.""Splunk Enterprise Security comes with 300 pre-deployed use cases that can be easily customized to meet the specific needs of our organization, without the need to purchase additional tools."

Cons
"It was very complex. There was poor native correlation. ""It needs to have better reporting. "

More Quest InTrust Cons →

"The initial setup is complex, but this is necessary. We needed to take into consideration how to direct log files from thousands of machines to Splunk, and how to ingest those files.""Its reporting can be improved. That's the only complaint I have heard. I don't need the reporting part, but I know that other people in the organization need it.""The licensing price is high and has room for improvement.""The training was mostly sales-focused, like how to monitor your sales. It was hard to then come back from doing the training and try to switch it to a cybersecurity focus because all the training we did was sales oriented. The basic training didn't really touch on any kind of cybersecurity use cases or anything like that. That would have been great to see in the training.""They can incorporate the SOAR solution within the actual product so that we do not require two different products, two different installations, and two different pricing methods. In regards to UBA, I am familiar with the UBA that existed two years ago. I am not updated about it today, but two years ago, UBA required such an amount of data that from a cost perspective, it was not worth it. When you compare it to what you get out of the box with Microsoft Sentinel without additional costs, there is no match.""We do have to educate developers on how to not blow it up. It is a little to easy to write an expensive query and overly stress the system. This could be improved.""The only thing which can be improved is that they are too subjective on whom their Splunk4Good initiative can be applied. They market it as you only need to be a nonprofit, but there is more to it.""I find that the learning curve for Splunk is relatively lengthy."
