We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The benefit is with the ease of use of the software, I am able to show the customer, "Here is what your wireless coverage looks like." It is set up in a fashion that non-technical people can understand it.""We use the solution for Wi-Fi and networks.""The predictive survey is the most valuable feature. I use it quite often.""Customer service is great.""The heat maps are quite good, and some features are easy to use.""Clear and easy to use maps.""Using the products to ensure the safety of our equipment that we have a lot invested in.""It is reliable and easy to use (user-friendly). The heat mapping, passive network surveying, and doing the heat mapping of a building's wireless network allows me to see what level of coverage an area has."

"It can scale.""The most valuable features of Huawei Wireless are WiFi coverage and ease of use.""What I like most about Huawei Wireless is that it's customizable. It has many unique features, such as encryption, spatial streams, hiding features for different scenarios, low-density and high-density areas, and smart antennas.""This solution is very simple and the interface is user-friendly.""The solution is very user-friendly and easy to use.""It is based on 802.11ax, which is a new technology. There are several valuable things, such as its speed and mobility. There are options for self-organizing networking so that it can perform operations and maintain itself. Its three interfaces are very good and user friendly.""It is easy to set up.""The solution offers very good value for money."

Cons
"It would be nice to have some more training resources for younger techs. We can use them if we need some assistance, but that usually requires one of us who knows what we're doing to calibrate the programs properly.""The surveying features are in need of improvement, along with general usability.""When you conduct an active survey and then want to use it for design work, it's actually not very useful.""I would say some of our newer techs that are going out to job sites can be a little bit intimidated by the interface.""But it's definitely a more expensive solution than other ones.""The throughput should be more advanced in the future. They need to add more versions of WiFi than just one.""The user interface needs a lot of improvement. The auto-placement of access points is not accurate.""Printouts are JPEG printouts. The AirMagnet software is proprietary. I can't send my customers a file, because it is AirMagnet file, even for building projects. I can only send JPEGs or screenshots of heat maps."

"The technical support needs to be improved. They also need to produce some more technical guides.""There was one time I had a problem with their centralized licensing. I called the Indian call center, but the response was not that good. One guy attended this call and he told me, "Definitely, I am forwarding your call to the next level. I'll let you know." After that, it took between 10 to 15 hours before I got a call back. By then, we had already resolved the issue. Therefore, they could improve the local support; there should be at very good Tier 1 and 2 support in India. They should be both proactive and reactive.""Support could be a bit faster.""While technically proficient, enhancing communication skills would greatly benefit the customer experience.""I'd like to see some after-sales support. It's a little bit below the expectations we had.""As such, there are no problems. It has been good. There were some issues with the network design, but that is not specifically related to the product. We had to make some improvements in the network design. The product as such is fine, and there are no big issues. We are using the latest version having most of the features available in the industry, so the specs are very high. If something new comes up new in the industry, it needs to be incorporated into the product.""The manageability could be improved.""While I am fine with the current licensing price, I would appreciate it to be more cost-effective."

  • "We don't have any control on the pricing. This comes from Huawei in India. Pricing-wise, Huawei is very aggressive and competitive if you compare them to competitors, like Cisco, Aruba, and Ruckus. The Indian Huawei team tells us, "Just pick up the order and design the infrastructure. If there are any pricing challenge, we'll work on that and we will try to match things 100 percent.""
  • "Huawei comes at a cheaper price than competitors like Cisco and Aruba."
  • "It is not monthly. It is a kind of perpetual licensing. We pay once depending on the kind of services we need to deliver. There are no licensing fees."
  • "Its price is very good. This wireless system totally costs about 30,000 euros, and some of the other solutions cost about 45,000 euros. It is a difference of 15,000 euros, which is quite a lot of money."
  • "The price is good for the solution and there is a license required."
  • "It is very cost-effective."
  • "Extras come with a surcharge."
  • "The price of Huawei Wireless is very good."
