"The feature I found most helpful in Azure Data Factory is the pipeline feature, including being able to connect to different sources. Azure Data Factory also has built-in security, which is another valuable feature.""Allows more data between on-premises and cloud solutions""The function of the solution is great.""It's cloud-based, allowing multiple users to easily access the solution from the office or remote locations. I like that we can set up the security protocols for IP addresses, like allow lists. It's a pretty user-friendly product as well. The interface and build environment where you create pipelines are easy to use. It's straightforward to manage the digital transformation pipelines we build.""It is easy to integrate.""I think it makes it very easy to understand what data flow is and so on. You can leverage the user interface to do the different data flows, and it's great. Cons
"Alteryx Designer's pricing and support could be improved.""Optimizing processing times is one area I would like to see improved in Alteryx Designer. Sometimes, the workflows take an extremely long time to run. There are days when I have had to wait two to three hours for a single process to complete. There needs to be a functionality to split the processes.""If the price were reduced then it would be more competitive.""Alteryx's data science and machine learning capabilities are where it loses out to DataIQ.""Alteryx Designer's cost should be improved.""Alteryx Designer overall should be easier to use.""It would be simpler if they provided a component where you could simply enter some parameters and see the results.""It is challenging to view the data using Alteryx Designer."

"There is no built-in function for automatically adding notifications concerning the progress or outline of a pipeline run.""If the user interface was more user friendly and there was better error feedback, it would be helpful.""The solution should offer better integration with Azure machine learning. We should be able to embed the cognitive services from Microsoft, for example as a web API. It should allow us to embed Azure machine learning in a more user-friendly way.""Azure Data Factory can improve by having support in the drivers for change data capture.""It's a good idea to take a Microsoft course. Because they are really helpful when you start from your journey with Data Factory.""This solution is currently only useful for basic data movement and file extractions, which we would like to see developed to handle more complex data transformations.""One area for improvement is documentation. At present, there isn't enough documentation on how to use Azure Data Factory in certain conditions. It would be good to have documentation on the various use cases.""When working with AWS, we have noticed that the difference between ADF and AWS is that AWS is more customer-focused. They're more responsive compared to any other company. ADF is not as good as AWS, but it should be. If AWS is ten out of ten, ADF is around eight out of ten. I think AWS is easier to understand from the GUI perspective compared to ADF."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "It is too expensive for our country. We are a small country, so it is too difficult to sell this solution. With Alteryx Designer, if you want to automate the data and run the flows, you have to pay more money. We were trying to automate the flows, and we found out that people have to pay 600 more for this feature, which makes it even more expensive. We are a partner for Tableau, and we are working with Tableau Prep, which is like a mini Alteryx. In Tableau Prep, you can drag and drop and make new connections with the different data sources. You can make all the connections. You can also publish a source. You don't have to pay more money with Tableau. You pay like $5 per user per month to access it."
  • "Alteryx is a little bit expensive compared to competing solutions."
  • "Alteryx Designer is an expensive solution."
  • "I rate Alteryx Designer a six out of ten for pricing."
  • "The licenses are expensive, making it difficult to consider acquiring additional licenses to the existing ones."
  • "Each license is something like $4,000."
  • "I rate the price of Alteryx Designer as a five on a scale of one to ten, where one is extremely expensive, and ten is a highly cheap product."
  • "I rate the price of Alteryx Designer a ten on a scale of one to ten, where one is low price and ten is high price."

  • "In terms of licensing costs, we pay somewhere around S14,000 USD per month. There are some additional costs. For example, we would have to subscribe to some additional computing and for elasticity, but they are minimal."

  • "The price you pay is determined by how much you use it."
  • "Understanding the pricing model for Data Factory is quite complex."
