We performed a comparison between Azure Key Vault and Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Microsoft Security Suite solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The platform provides straightforward integration with most of the other Azure services."
"We use Azure Key Vault to store secrets."
"The initial setup is very straightforward. It only took a few minutes."
"This solution speeds up the product development life cycle. That is, the time from the development of the product to the time to market is drastically reduced because of the CI/CD pipelines. You can have your code deployed within a matter of minutes."
"The platform has a valuable feature for seamless integration."
"Technical support is helpful."
"The most valuable feature is that you can retrieve user account details from the cloud."
"The centralized storage and secure storage are features we like."
"The product can block the uploads to cloud services."
"We can use Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention to manage devices and site policies."
"The product is easy to configure."
"I rate Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention's stability a ten out of ten."
"Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention's responses are faster. Its installation is also reliable. The security score helps with the security part."
"Because everything is on Microsoft and we use Azure, integration with the product is easier. That's the most important thing when you use many Microsoft products. It's easier to integrate everything in one place."
"The product has improved compliance and confidence. We are aware of the data that is leaving our organization. It provides confidence in data management and information storage."
"There's a good amount of documentation in case you run into any problems."
"Many times, the first round of support itself will fail, and they will bring some more competent people in the subsequent support. So it gets into a hierarchical mode. By then, we will lose a good amount of time. The technical support needs improvement."
"Microsoft Azure Key Vault could improve by enhancing the security of credentials. Without the security or the use of key vaults, we would have to configure our credentials into the source code as plain text without the encryption or security."
"It is complicated to use different services and products along with Azure Key Vault."
"While it's very reliable in terms of stability, there's always room for improvement."
"They should improve its policies, which sometimes reapplied but don't sync properly between the Key vault and the role-based access. When I put some roles on the user side, it sometimes misses the end data to secure."
"I would rate the stability of Microsoft Azure Key Vault an eight out of ten. We use the solution in the data science field. If there is some outage, we did not notice any prolonged outage which would affect our business significantly while working with it."
"Sometimes it takes too long to retrieve the keys. The authentication process takes time."
"To make it a ten the setup should be more streamlined."
"There is no AIP for Linux systems. That's a setback. Another thing it's lacking is libraries to work with Python. It has libraries for C# and C++, for example, but not for Python and, these days, Python is very useful."
"Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention's licensing is expensive."
"There is a lot of ambiguity when you are setting up labels, such as sensitive information labels. It is a little daunting at first if you don't have prior knowledge, and there is a little bit of a learning curve for setting up the labels. Some of the setup wizards could be more helpful from an AI perspective. They can streamline the setup through more AI technologies so that you don't have to jump through so many hoops and different menus and dropdowns. It would be useful to have a setup wizard that is more hands-off and engaging for setting up the information type labels. If you tell them this is what we're trying to protect, it should basically start to lead you down that path of best practices. Such a feature would be great."
"The solution should provide better integration with other systems."
"The support is poor."
"The scalability, in terms of the portal, could be more user-friendly. Sometimes I have faced difficulties in identifying the options."
"They do not provide language options beyond the ones already available, so our language option is missing."
"Technical support is awful."
