Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable feature is the analysis, because of the beta structure.""Fortinet has helped free up around 20 percent of our staff's time to help us out.""The product's initial setup phase is very easy.""I get alerts when scripts are detected in the environment.""The product detects and blocks threats and is more proactive than firewalls.""The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration.""Fortinet is very user-friendly for customers.""NGAV and EDR features are outstanding."

"The pricing is reasonable.""The most valuable feature of the solution is that it is easy to use and simple, meaning it's not much complicated.""One strong point is that it doesn't have many background services running on the Windows system or server operating system. This minimizes impact because it's a lighter version.""With Bitdefender GravityZone Ultra, we don't have to worry about our endpoints or attacks. Our security has become stronger. This has been a reliable solution for our company.""It's hard to pick just one valuable feature as almost all of the main features are very useful. However, the ability to manage it centrally and have detailed control over settings, exceptions and other configurations is extremely beneficial.""I like GravityZone's short implementation time. It takes only a day, at most.""It efficiently investigates security incidents.""We like the dashboard, the console, the reporting. It's very easy to deploy."

"CrowdStrike Falcon's most valuable feature is the fact that it's not getting in the way of our workforce and their workflow.""Among CrowdStrike Falcon's most valuable capabilities are its UEBA and SOAR functionalities, along with its seamless integration with any other SIEM solution.""I like the overall reports of this solution. They are crisp, and to the point.""There's almost no maintenance required. It's very low if there's any at all.""The CrowdStrike Falcon agent is very lightweight. Users never complain about their PCs getting stuck and things like that.""The most valuable features of Crowdstrike Falcon XDR are Spotlight and Discovery, they are helpful. Additionally, the console is user-friendly, with fewer false positives than other solutions.""It is an easy product to deploy.""The stability is very good."

Cons
"Intelligence aspects need improvement""The solution is not stable.""The support needs improvement.""I think cloud security and SASE are areas of concern in the product where improvements are required. The tool's cloud version has to be improved in terms of the security it offers.""I haven't seen the use of AI in the solution.""The solution should address emerging threats like SQL injection.""Everything with Fortinet having to do with their cloud services. They need to invest more in their internal infrastructure that they are running in the cloud. One of the things I find with their cloud environment compared to others' is that they go cheap on the equipment. So it causes some performance degradation.""The amount of usage, the number of details we get, or the number of options that can be tweaked is limited in comparison to that with other EDR solutions"

More Fortinet FortiEDR Cons →

"Technical support could be faster and more responsive.""The areas of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) could benefit from improvement in terms of how problems are reported and displayed. The way the problems are presented and the information provided could be improved.""Bitdefender GravityZone EDR doesn't have an official office in Saudi Arabia, which is important if the vendor wants to gain or be closer to their customers.""The solution is sometimes resource-intensive.""The solution wasn't designed to be used in France.""In terms of improvement of the solution, it could have better features. For example, having a firewall within. This way we would only need one solution.""The graphical user interface for EDR could be improved.""Application Control should be available on the cloud."

More Bitdefender GravityZone EDR Cons →

"I would like them to improve the correlation of data in the search algorithms. When we run an investigation, malware, phishing, etc., I want to look at multiple endpoints at once to correlate that data to see the likenesses, e.g., how are they not alike or what systems and processes are running across those systems? I don't want to have to run the same search in their Spotlight module five, 10, 15, or 100 times to get 100 different results, copy that data out, and then correlate it on my own. In a very simple way, I want to be able to load up a comma-delimited list giving me the spotlight data on these X amount of hosts, letting me search for it quickly. We have had to go back to CrowdStrike, and say, "Our search are taking far too long for even one host." They did bump up the cores and that did improve performance, but it is still kind of slow to get that Spotlight data. That is probably our biggest pain point. I think that needs some help. I understand this kind of information access is probably not the easiest thing to do. It is probably a big ask depending on how their back-end is setup.""The performance could be better.""The portal can be clunky to navigate at times and has room for improvement.""Any kind of integration that you want to do, such as using the API to connect to a SIEM, is complex and it will be expensive to do.""In the six months that I have been using CrowdStrike, it has not been able to detect anything.""Forensic controls have room for improvement.""To simplify the budgeting process for our clients, CrowdStrike should consider offering bundled packages that include essential features.""The biggest issue with Falcon as a standalone product is it doesn't have very much reporting."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by Fortinet FortiEDR users.

An Owner at a security firm says, "The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers. The customer has literally about 800 cash registers. That was the use case for Fortinet FortiEDR - to get that down into a tiny space. The only way to do that was to use this product because it had that ability to unbundle services that were a surplus.”

Chandan M., Chief Technical Officer at Provision Technologies LLP, mentions, “The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration.” He also adds, “The security is also very good and the firewall response is good.”

Harpreet S., Information Technology Support Specialist at Chemtrade Logistics, explains, "It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."

DeAndre V., Senior Network Administrator at a financial services firm, states, “The dashboard is easy to follow and use. The deployment and uninstalling were easy. I like the detailed information about the path of a file that might be suspicious. Being able to check that out was easy to follow. Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.

Bitdefender GravityZone Ultra is an endpoint security solution that offers protection against even the most elusive cyber threats. The solution provides a full range of security capabilities, including threat detection, pre- and post- compromise visibility, alert triage, automatic response, advanced search, investigation, and more. • Low overhead incident investigation and response: Bitdefender GravityZone Ultra allows incident response teams to react fast and stop ongoing attacks via fast alerts, attack timelines, and sandbox outputs.

    Bitdefender GravityZone Ultra Benefits

    • Next-gen prevention and detection: The solution uses advanced prevention capabilities such as PowerShell Defense, Exploit Defense, and Anomaly Detection to block attacks earlier in the attack chain (at pre-execution) so your security posture remains intact and safe. Once an active threat is detected, automatic response kicks in to block further damage or lateral movements.

    • Third-party integration APIs: Bitdefender GravityZone Ultra supports integration with pre-existing security operations tools.

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by PeerSpot users currently using the Bitdefender GravityZone Ultra solution.

Robert N., CEO at CSToday, says, “We like the dashboard, the console, the reporting. It's very easy to deploy. It has great security with excellent standard policies and is extremely stable.”

PeerSpot user David A., Cybersecurity Analyst & System Engineer at Compucare Systems Inc., mentions, "The best feature for our customers is the ransomware feature. It is very fresh and powerful. Bitdefender also has a feature called Ransomware Vaccine. With this feature, when a file from the ransomware is encrypted Bitdefender can revert it back to the original file. It automatically decrypts the file and puts the ransom in quarantine."

Troy F., Managing Director at TEPSA (Pty) Ltd., comments, “The valuable features are, of course, the protection against malware, ransomware, and any other forms of malicious software, but the solution also provides application and device control which stops people copying things onto a memory stick, for example. In addition, it provides web filtering and blocking of inappropriate websites. The product covers pretty much every aspect of cyber security, but the primary function that everybody gets it for is the anti malware or antivirus protection.”

CrowdStrike Falcon offers advanced threat detection, real-time visibility, easy interface, and responsive customer support. It enhances workflow and efficiency, promotes collaboration, streamlines processes, and boosts productivity. With features like incident response options, customizable alerts, and proactive threat hunting, it helps protect organizations from malware and ransomware attacks.
