We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We enjoy having an inside view of all the data centers and all the EdgeX nodes within a single portal rather than going into the EdgeX connections one by one.""The product has good integration.""The tool helps to manage Cisco servers.""Scalable portfolio of services for remote device management, with good cloud integration. It's also easy to set up.""Cisco Intersight has valuable features for workflow automation and inventory administration.""I like Intersight because of the integration with HashiCorp, Kubernetes, and each cloud because Intersight is the IO module.""Our organization uses Cisco Intersight since it helps manage our physical infrastructure.""What I like most about Cisco Intersight is its manageability."

"The graphical interface of this environment is so good with all the views, the graphics, and everything in them. It's really easy for me. It doesn't need an engineer to work on it. It's easy enough that anyone can get into the environment and look for issues or look at how communication is going on across the VMs. It's pretty much straightforward.""The initial setup was straightforward.""The most valuable features are the packet trace flow and that the view of the whole environment is deep.""The solution is extremely intuitive and user-friendly. When you log in to the application you are presented with a dashboard that is very reasonable for an initial user, and you can then customize it to your specific needs. But for all the data that we've found, we've only had to go through two or three drill-downs to get into that information.""The most valuable features are the monitoring and tracking. It's also intuitive and user-friendly. The screen looks exactly the same as the other appliances for VMware, so it's easy to navigate.""compare-to-competition; I would recommend the product. I don't think there is any other product like this on the market right now.""It allows you to see traffic that you couldn't otherwise see, which is traffic within your Layer 3-bounded network, meaning east-west traffic. It's hard to get that any other way.""vRNI can trace the flow of each and every packet and it is easy for us to troubleshoot all the issues that we do have with the networking. We can trace down the packet to a point where it has been dropped."

Cons
"In the future, the solution needs to plan on an extension to cover a broader range of objects since, at present, there are some Cisco devices within the range of Intersight UCS that it can't manage.""The solution needs some enhancement in order to build the cluster in two nodes.""Cisco Intersight needs some improvement in terms of stability. Hybrid cloud management and proper hyperscaler tie-up are other areas for improvement.""An area for improvement in Cisco Intersight is automation. It needs more automation capabilities. Apart from enhanced automation, I want Cisco Intersight to integrate with third-party monitoring tools in its next release.""It's a very complex solution.""The usability must be better.""The unique problem with Cisco Intersight is that it's not supporting some players.""The product could be easy to use."

More Cisco Intersight Cons →

"The solution is very much viewer centric and it would be nice if it would transcend just the virtual infrastructure.""There is room for improvement when it comes to pricing because we pay here in Brazil, and all the costs are based on the dollar.""The only reason I would not give it a nine or a 10 is for cost reasons. It seems to be one of those things that really belongs as part of the product inherently and not as an add-on. That would be my only concern.""The solution can be improved by making it more compatible with other brands, allowing for better integration.""I would like to see more interoperability on the firewall and low balancer sides.""In a very general way, I would like to see an improvement in interoperability with third-party product, from other vendors.""I want to see more in terms of microsegmentation. As of now, I can see the rules, but they are not in a readable format that I can convert to microsegmentation and can fit into NSX Manager.""The only issue we have is that the solution does not always capture the host names."

  • "The solution has helped us to reduce time, increase performance, reduce costs, and even easily manage networks. It ends up saving the customer money and makes us be more efficient on our cost deliveries."
