Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It's a very good IT tool for a company that provides IT services. It is very helpful for technicians to work with the tool to see all of the customers in one place and then manage all of the computers in one place.""It's definitely improved the help-desk servicing, et cetera.""The implementation is nice and easy.""It is very scalable.""Remote access and detailed monitoring help us support our equipment.""Maybe they could improve the capability to be multi-tenant.""The most value we get from this solution is that everything is on a patch cycle.""It allows us to manage all client requests, jobs and invoicing."

"We have many application systems, and I can set up Fortinet FortiSIEM for users to monitor their systems.""FortiSIEM helped us discover all the threats at the time that were attacking the IT services of the company. We now have multiple-level authentication.""Its automated response feature has benefited our customer communication. Analysts feel more confident in providing timely responses.""FortiSIEM is a great tool for making security processes transparent.""The seamless integration with FortiGate is the solution's most valuable aspect.""Our customer did not have security monitoring in the first place. With this solution, it provided security posture management and visibility about the security landscape and threats that they had.""I like FortiSIEM because it integrates natively with our other Fortinet solutions and the Fortinet Fabric, but it also integrates with Cisco, Palo Alto and other security fabrics.""The solution’s IP database is awesome."

Cons
"They always change the GUI to some dumb-down version of tiles which are more "user-friendly", but slows my team down in the end.""Technical support was helpful.""In Patch Manager, there should be more reportability so that it is easier to see the updates that I have applied to a machine and when the next update will happen. A lot of times, it seems like all the information is kind of thrown all over the place, and you can't really see it all at the same time. There should be a simplified patch data view that allows us to quickly confirm that our various clients are getting patched as they should be.""The project management needs improvement and there's a section of the product called configuration that also needs to be improved.""We would love to get feature updates and cumulative updates fixed. I know they aren't really supposed to be pushed with Patch Manager. We've got recommendations from ConnectWise to use the scripted feature update installs, scripted KB updates, etc. Having these in Patch Manager itself would be great.""They could use some automated alerts particularly when we're talking about an MSP that might shoot over.""Scheduling of automation could be improved and made more simple.""This is a raw system. Of course, it has some flaws that could be improved. But, it's something that we will have to work with to get to the point where we need this, we request it and they do their best to make it happen."

More ConnectWise Automate Cons →

"They could work on their documentation. If there's anything about the solution that needs improvement, it's that. For example, documentation already is on a very high level but specifically on the CLI there are tons of features which can be fine-tuned and thousands of commands are very difficult to document. If they could make this easier, it would improve the overall solution.""The reporting feature is not very attractive for the upper management and I am not able to perform complex/nested queries.""Our customers are noticing configuration available in the GUI interface and I think that they should be equal.""Their product support, in general, is not that great. The product support is in the same ecosystem. Their support is improving but it's not that great.vvv""Fortinet FortiSIEM could improve by having better integration and extensions. This would benefit by allowing us to give more rules.""The UI could improve in Fortinet FortiSIEM. Humans view the UI frequently for data and if it was more visually pleasing it would be beneficial.""We expect the latest patch from Fortinet FortiSIEM to give the ability to work with signature files.""Our team tried configuring MS SQL database logs with Fortinet FortiSIEM, but it did not work for some time."
