We performed a comparison between Dynatrace and Google Cloud's operations suite (formerly Stackdriver) based on real PeerSpot user reviews in five categories. After reading all of the collected data, you can find our conclusion below.
Comparison Results: Dynatrace is the preferred choice over Google Cloud's operations suite. It has more comprehensive features, better AI capabilities, and offers better visibility for network performance monitoring. Google Cloud's operations suite is user-friendly and scalable, but lacks certain metrics and tools for application logs and automation in the monitoring process.
"Capability to focus on root cause problems."
"They have quick answers for scalability."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to perform synthetic checks for monitoring sites using click paths."
"Its ability to correlate a large source of information to pinpoint a root cause. This speeds up issue resolution and allow us to better reach our objectives."
"The Dynatrace solution has an important role in optimizing application code and SQL queries for customer solutions."
"UEM can be used for user impact analysis and troubleshooting."
"Provides more visibility into applications."
"The UEM feature, User Experience Management: Understanding how users are perceiving the application and then connecting that back into back-end systems to understand why things have gotten slow and then dealing with things."
"The cloud login enables us to get our logs from the different platforms that we currently use."
"The most valuable feature is the multi-cloud integration, where there is support for both GCP and AWS."
"Provides visibility into the performance uptime."
"Our company has a corporate account for Google Cloud and so our systems and clusters integrate really well."
"It's easy to use."
"Google's technical support is very good."
"The features that I have found most valuable are its graphs - if I need any statistics, in Kubernetes or Kong level or VPN level, I can quickly get the reports."
"I like the monitoring feature."

"For a new user of Dynatrace, the tool is not easy to understand, so this is an area for improvement. Before using it, you need to learn from an expert."
"The one area that we get value out of now, where we would love to see additional features, is the Session Replay. The ability to see how one individual uses a particular feature is great. But what we'd really like to be able to see is how a large group of people uses a particular feature. I believe Dynatrace has some things on its roadmap to add to Session Replay that would allow us those kinds of insights as well."
"Bring the interface to the same level as OneAgent."
"Adding people to alerts has not been very intuitive. That's really my only negative feedback."
"It needs a dashboard for cluster events in general, and for Kubernetes specifically."
"Support for cloud-based environments needs to be improved."
"What needs improvement in Dynatrace is its dashboard. Creating dashboards in Dynatrace is good, but compared to Grafana, which is integrated with Broadcom DX APM, the resulting dashboard in Dynatrace isn't as clear. The Dynatrace dashboard needs to be more graphic."
"It needs certain UI changes to make going back to certain Windows easier. Certain windows open up in a different category with different set values and throw you off if you are not used to it."
"It is difficult to estimate in advance how much something is going to cost."
"This solution could be improved if it offered the ability to analyze charts, such as a solution like Kibana."
"Lacking sufficient operations documentation."
"It could be even more automated."
"The product provides minimal metrics that are insufficient."
"It could be more stable."
"If I want to track any round-trip or breakdowns of my response times, I'm not able to get it. My request goes through various levels of the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and comes back to my client machine. Suppose that my request has taken 10 seconds overall, so if I want to break it down, to see where the delay is happening within my architecture, I am not able to find that out using Stackdriver."
"The logging functionality could be better."
