We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Ivanti Xtraction provides reports in a single dashboard. We can ask the executive leadership to review it. It has unlimited view access. You can view the reports but won't be able to edit them. The solution makes it easy to build reports and send them. It has filters, and you can filter the results based on time, date, etc. The view will go back to normal once refreshed."

"Its data visualization provides the user the ability to quickly look at data and focus on relevant information, allowing them to make an immediate decision.""Technical support is quite good.""This is a self-service BI tool, so it doesn't require a huge amount of technical training, knowledge, or a background in BI in order to induct new people into it.""Premium features that used to cost $5,000 per company per month recently became a lot more accessible. Microsoft recently implemented a per user feature in Power BI Premium; it's $20 per month.""Power BI has strong support from Microsoft. If you need help, they answer promptly. There are also several discussion groups where you can get information, like the product roadmap and any new things coming up.""Many of my customers already use Microsoft products like Office 365, so I often propose Microsoft Power BI because it integrates well with all the standard Microsoft business tools. And it's the quickest tool to implement and start using daily.""I liked that Microsoft Power BI handles a large amount of data. I can handle hundreds of rows from Postgres in a few minutes. I also like how it detects the relationship between the tables without explicitly saying that. It just detects the relationship automatically. That made it easier to work with the data.""The virtualization of Microsoft BI is very good."

Cons
"The tool's graphics need to be updated."

"More connections with other systems should be added, which would allow for other integrations.""The solution could improve by having more attractive graphical charts.""It has come a long way in terms of how it was working two years ago, but there are some things that you still can't do with it. For example, permission management and user access management are still a bit limited. It is basically based on the idea that everybody from the organization can see everything or limit the type of data they can see. If I want you to see only one report and the other guy to see another report, I can't do it. There should be a better way to manage permissions and users. It should also support external users much better.""I think that the solution is harder to use for people who are not experts in data.""The integration in Microsoft BI could improve for other solutions, such as Oracle DB and PostgresSQL. Additionally, the reporting from the databases to Microsoft BI should be in real-time and the overall performance could be better.""There is no specific area that I have a problem with. It's just that, with whatever feature you come across, every visual has its own formatting and behavior. What you get in one visual for a feature, you don't seem to get in another.""There is room for improvement in terms of pricing for the solution.""Most clients have MacBooks. Therefore, they use Tableau as Power BI Desktop is not available for the MacBook right now."
