Find out in this report how the two Data Warehouse solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The whole solution is interesting for us."
"The solution can scale."
"The stability is pretty good."
"Synapse Analytics gives you information and reports in real-time."
"The architecture, including compute and storage, is good."
"The features we've found most valuable for data warehouses is extracting data, SSIS packages, and the DBs."
"Azure elasticity allows us to scale as much as we want, and it is pay-as-you-go, so we can scale up as we need to."
"This is a stable solution with many functionalities."
"It is a stable solution...It is a scalable solution."
"Its direct approach is the most valuable. You get more real time and capabilities than BW."
"It can calculate data in detail. Before we could not calculate financial documents and accountant documents in detail, we could not do it at a document level but now we can. This is the most important feature. It also has predictive analysis memory."
"The most valuable feature is that we can transform a huge amount of data and apply business logic as per the requirements."
"I like that it's quite quick."
"SAP BW4HANA aids in managing data from ER to front-end analysis, contributes to ROI, and fosters business growth understanding. I like that the solution breaks down components to a very granular level, allowing for customization and implementation based on specific requirements. The solution is stable. The solution is scalable."
"The product is stable."
"I like how it blends no-code and ABAP code for complex transformations during data loading."
"I am pretty sure that there are areas that need improvement but I just can think of them off the top of my head."
"The initial setup is complex."
"From an infrastructure standpoint, I believe it can be more secure in terms of availability."
"Adding more transformations and plugins to the solution is very important."
"In the future, Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics has the potential to enhance its capabilities by expanding its connectors, specifically with regard to Oracle solutions, such as operating systems. This would involve a comprehensive approach to adding more connectors for both data input and consumption purposes. By doing so, Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics would be better equipped to meet the diverse needs of its users and achieve greater efficiency in its performance. The provision of more connectors is definitely a crucial area that needs improvement."
"An area for improvement in Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics is its user interface. You can use it for analytical purposes, but its platform should be a little bit more user-friendly. Another small point for improvement in Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics is its stability. It's good currently, but it could still be improved. Microsoft is combining different tools and technologies into one solution, so in the future, I'm expecting to see even more improvement in Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics. An additional feature I'd like to see in the next version of Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics is the drag-and-drop feature. If you're doing some integrations where you can write Scala or you have SPARK programming or SQL, or you're combining different programming, the process should be seamless, and you should be able to drag and drop in Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics. When doing reporting in the solution, you should also be able to drag and drop. There should be connectors available and a drag-and-drop feature available in the user interface of Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics, so you won't have to worry about how all processes would work together. You need to be able to drag and drop even from the backend, and having this feature will make the solution more user-friendly."
"It needs strong support for social media, internet data, and native support for NoSQL."
"It could be beneficial to focus on integration with various data sources and similar enhancements."
"The licensing cost could be made better."
"The cost of the product might be an area that might introduce some restrictions or limitations to customers, making it one of the aspects where improvements are required."
"There's one area where the other vendors have an upper edge, which is the data lake. I think SAP is trying to figure out whether to stick with IQ, their own data lake solution, or push customers toward customer-preferred vendors, like Azure Data Lake, AWS, or any other provider."
"The UI is not user-friendly."
"From a technical perspective, it could be even more related to legacy systems. The connectivity requirement is quite high and requires systems that are up-to-date."
"The product needs to improve with more performance and fewer data layers."
"The tool is not easy to use for an end user."
"There's the complexity in migration from BW to BW/4HANA, especially with data migration."
