We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It has a feature that allows you to retain an email and recover it as an administrator. When you activate this feature, even if a user deletes an email, the email is still in the system, and we can retrieve it as an administrator. It is a very useful function. We turn this feature on for some of the mailboxes because we need to keep all the records. I like the way emails are classified in this solution. It makes it really easy to take a look at the most important messages. This is a really good functionality. Some of the emails directly exchanged with you are marked as important and shown in one tab, and everything else is in another tab. We usually don't have any issue with Exchange. It can be integrated with different solutions.""The best features are that Exchange is very customer-friendly, its interface is self-explanatory, it doesn't hang, and it keeps evolving.""Microsoft Exchange is a user-friendly product that is easy to manage and configure.""Exchange's best feature is single sign-on access using the Microsoft Identity framework.""I find the Outlook client very valuable. It allows me to connect to the Exchange Server and send and receive emails easily. The graphical interface is user-friendly and has a good look and feel.""Internal communication stability within Exchange is ensured by the stability of the internal network which is guaranteed by default.""It's a very user-friendly application. The mail server is also valuable when compared to other services like SquirrelMail.""The email management system is very easy to set up, configure, and use."

"I like the ease of logging best in Micro Focus GroupWise. I also like its proxy capabilities from a user level. I also like how secure Micro Focus GroupWise is.""Very secure with great storage capacity.""The cost-effectiveness of the solution is most valuable."

Cons
"Currently, its administration is too cumbersome. It's unwieldy. It's slow. It consumes too many resources. Configuration needs to be much more streamlined and administratively automated.""There can be occasional challenges during the product's implementation phase, making it an area where improvements are needed.""The security features could be improved. There should be a better policy management system.""The product or service could be improved in terms of Microsoft Outlook client compatibility.""In our current situation, the disappearance of sanctions would be a tangible improvement. We are basically cut off from technical support and it's very difficult to obtain any updates.""There are issues when you add your domain to Microsoft Tenant, and you try to create that. Which is a problem for me.""The main problem with Microsoft products is that we're constantly required to install patches and fixes.""There is a lot of spam email that comes in, so they should add functionality to help fix this problem."

"The WebAccess feature is somewhat lacking and could be improved.""What I don't like about Micro Focus GroupWise is the removal of the Unix client. Micro Focus took that function away about ten years ago because there wasn't enough demand for it.""Their support can be improved. It is not as good as it used to be."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "They are flexible when it comes to pricing, unlike most of the other vendors I have dealt with."
  • "It's working very well. There is no problem, but the price is not the best."
  • "Its price is okay."
  • "It's a little bit expensive."
  • "Its price is very affordable, and basically, it is the standard of the industry. We have the Exchange 365 subscription, which includes the usage of Exchange Online. I don't know the specific cost, but it is the retail price of Microsoft 365 E3 licenses. Microsoft's licensing is not very easy to understand. Microsoft changes rules every other day, which makes it difficult for us to understand the licensing not only for Exchange but also for other products. It can sometimes be really complex to understand what you need to have in order to comply with Microsoft licensing."
  • "Microsoft doesn't have a unit price, it's based on the quantity, and they offer great discounts."
  • "We are currently using enterprise licenses for the solution. They are different pricing models available. There are individual, cloud-based, and enterprise licenses all with different pricing models. The larger the number of users, the lesser the price. For small to medium companies like us, we feel it is expensive."
  • "Its price is fair."

  • "It was a part of the suite, so it was very cost-effective. There were no costs beyond the licensing fee."
  • "Micro Focus GroupWise is the most affordable solution on-premises. Versus Microsoft Exchange on-premises, pricing is 20:1, so there's no comparison. Micro Focus GroupWise is cheaper, though, for my clients, it's not about the cost but the stability and security of the solution."
