Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"MuleSoft offers with the Anypoint Platform a unified platform for API management and an integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) as well as an on-premise Enterprise Service Bus pattern.""It can scale.""Overall, it is a pretty good product. It is also very scalable.""When we talk about the APIs, there are multiple policies one can apply on APIs, like rate limiting policies, OWASP policies, and OWASP security policies, that can be easily configured in Mule Anypoint Platform.""The initial setup is quite easy because the solution has a good interface through which the configuration, mapping, and so on can be done.""The ability to define multi-tiered APIs and reuse them is a fantastic platform feature.""The solution's market place for different kinds of integration platforms is the most valuable feature.""API management."

"The initial setup is pretty easy to do.""We find it effortless to set up. We really don't have to do anything other than finding the application in the Zapier catalog. And as long as the application has been re-integrated into Zapier, they're able to then just provide the connection details and hook it up.""Zapier is a really good tool for connecting multiple different platforms and data sources. For example, with Quickbase, I can easily integrate data from other sources like AWS or task-tracking platforms such as ClickUp or Asana.""Zapier's interface, for me, is the solution's greatest value proposition. It is designed and developed for people who don't have a clue about what they're trying to do. It has a very user-friendly interface.""The most valuable aspect of this solution is that it is very intuitive and has a very flat learning curve.""The product's most valuable feature is automation.""We can connect Zapier with Zoho CRM for lead generation. I like the tool's drag and drop feature.""The most valuable feature of Zapier is it saves me time doing repetitive tasks."

Cons
"Price-wise, it is a good product since it is reasonably priced...Mule Anypoint Platform can get too complex for non-technical people.""It has different types of subscriptions. For platinum or lower subscriptions, there are not too many things that can be done. We don't see many features. They should release a basic version that has logging and monitoring features. These features should come with Mule Anypoint Platform for free instead of making customers pay separately for these features. Its dashboard can be improved to have a lot of charts so that it is easy to visualize information. The utilization part can be improved. The dashboard is good currently, but it can be better. Other solutions like Elastic have a good dashboard, and they allow you to administer the product from the UI. Currently, for RTF, there is a different dashboard or utility. It would be good to include the same utility in the cloud solution. It would be good if there is a centralized repository that includes the links to the information about various troubleshooting issues. The documentation is there currently, and it is good, but the troubleshooting information is too scattered. We have to go to different links to find troubleshooting information. This kind of centralized repository would be helpful for new customers who are implementing this solution. It will be helpful to see different kinds of issues that can occur.""The inclusion of GenAI in the tool can be good since it is an area that is currently unavailable in the solution.""Mule Anypoint Platform is complex for beginners. Users without programming skills will find it complex. It should also improve its pricing.""Adding connectors for new upcoming applications would add extra value to this product.""It doesn't work well when you try using it for the processing layer.""The solution's licensing methodologies could be improved.""Although the solution's proxy design and process are good, it faces connecting issues because it lacks data integration."

More Mule Anypoint Platform Cons →

"It could support various languages along with Python.""The solution does not work properly when we apply filters and we get errors.""Some apps are not available yet. For instance, a connection with Joomla! would be great. In general, all the most-used apps are available, but I bumped into Joomla! with a client.""The pricing could be a little cheaper.""Zapier could be a little faster, but that might not be possible. I would encourage Zapier to make more API endpoints for each application""Being able to share Zaps and organize them with teammates would allow sharing and refining scenarios and even combining steps that require different people's credentials.""There is room for improvement in the support. They are not responsive, and they don't take much time to get resolved.""System-to-system is fine, but when it comes to system-to-user, where Zapier is helping to communicate to a user, that's a one-way communication. If that user has to perform some action on that notification, the action isn't handled by Zapier. So there's no way to orchestrate that and it's very cumbersome."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Licensing can be complex as is the case with most iPaaS/cloud offerings."
  • "Mule is not the cheapest integration platform out there, but it deserves the price we are paying."
  • "The product comes complete at one set price including support."
  • "The licensing is core-based. My customers tell me that it's very expensive compared to the cost of other integration suites."
  • "Mule Anypoint Platform pricing is slightly higher compared to Dell Boomi."
  • "The solution is the priciest in the market which is an issue for some clients."
  • "The pricing of our solution is highly competitive. While it may not be categorized as exceptionally low, it is certainly more affordable compared to IBM."
  • "The product is still very expensive."

  • "There is a free plan that is, of course, limited. However, it allows you to understand and check true scenarios for a while."
  • "Think your Zaps through to make sure you don't use more Zaps than you need."
  • "It's very straightforward licensing. There's only one cost you have to pay, and if you want a relevant pricing plan, I think you have two or three different models or packages which include the number of notifications or Zaps, as they call it, that you can program."
  • "The price of Zapier is approximately $75 monthly."
  • "Zapier is a paid service. Its license renews monthly, and Zapier will downgrade your subscription to the free version when your credit card doesn't have funds. That significantly impacts your service because everything halts completely. Zapier doesn't have any hidden costs."
  • "Per task, there is a monthly plan involving 15 euros...Also, in different forms, they just give you the ability to use different features. They charge 18.58 euros for the first standard plan, which includes 750 tasks. So, it is about 25 cents per task."
  • "It's very affordable."
  • "The least expensive plan is $24 a month, and you can go all the way to $800 a month if you're a huge company using many tasks."

    Reviews from Real Users

Michael S., a senior enterprise architect at a tech services company, gives Mule Anypoint Platform a high rating and states that the product is constantly improving to help connect applications, data, and devices.

A senior technical architect at a tech services company likes Mule Anypoint Platform for the good stability with an easy setup and good technical support that the product provides.

Zapier is a tool for primarily non-technical users to connect together web apps.

An integration between two apps is called a Zap. A Zap is made up of a Trigger and one or more Actions or Searches.

Whenever the trigger happens in one app, Zapier will automatically perform the actions or searches in another app in order.

Zaps are very lightweight and easy to set up. Zaps do not import or export old data (they only operate on new items created after the Zap is enabled). Zaps are also not kept in sync ("two way syncing") after the Zap is triggered.

Zaps are deceivingly simple if you're used to dealing with complex and difficult integrations. Their simplicity is what enables anyone to create them.
