Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Has an APM, which deals with the details of data and has calculation functions included.""The most valuable feature of CCH Tagetik is form creation.""I've primarily worked with CCH Tagetik as a consultant, handling implementations and not providing day-to-day user support. I initially appreciated the unified platform, the Ownership Structure Register, which benefits certain entities. The workflow feature is great, but it can become overly detailed and lacks clear guidance on design. The solution is good in terms of storage.""I appreciate its user-friendliness, especially for business users who may not be very tech-savvy."

"The scalability is good.""Oracle has an integrated solution for Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and Hyperion. It keeps the two platforms opened up to each other.""The stability is fine and quite user friendly.""The accuracy of data gathering and consolidation is very good.""Hyperion is helpful for all our budget processes.""The most valuable features are those associated with modules and SP, IT in this space, planning, HFM, and PME.""We like the reporting and tracking of financials.""Since it is an enterprise-capable solution, people are not worried about security, giving data, the ability to manage complex consolidation, and its ability to modify reporting."

Cons
"There is room for improvement, especially on the settings side of the solution.""We faced difficulties while uploading data.""Analytics function is weak. Other products have sum(irate) function and forecasting help function, but Tagetik does not have this clarity.""The tool's major drawback is the ETL process, which is not up to par with other solutions."

"This solution's stability is a little problematic.""We are still having some issues with the ASO Cube. It can take a long time to clear the data in the ASO Cube compared to BSO data-clearing operations. We don't have a specific calculation in the ASO, and we only have these aggregate options on the ASO side. If we need calculations, we have to calculate them in the BSO and pass the data to the ASO Cube for the reporting. That's one of the drawbacks. Oracle could also improve on the data logging side as well.""They could support machine learning algorithms for the product.""Oracle Hyperion's scalability could be improved.""I have a problem with Hyperion when I need to log some changes in the budget. It's hard to know who made which changes in the budget.""The solution is about to cease to exist, so it doesn't really matter if they add anything to it. It's at end-of-life.""Their documentation could be a little bit more descriptive at places. They don't really do a lot of How-Tos because that gets pushed through to the consulting groups. There have been some books. There is a real good one out there about how to look smarter than you are with Hyperion Planning that some people at a company called ArganoInterRel wrote. Those things do exist, but that's not in their documentation. It's basically like they'll say, "This is the field. This is what it's used for," but they don't tell you how to particularly use it in your case environment.""There can be an improvement in many regards with the dimensions, the metadata, the interfaces, as well as the integration."
