We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I would recommend Cisco Linksys Ethernet Switches to other organizations.""The initial setup is easy.""What matters most to me is the security of the product, and Cisco does a pretty good job.""The most important feature related to this solution is that most of the time, it covers all of what we need for our projects.""It is easy to use and stable.""Ease-of-use and ease-of-management are good qualities of this product.""The solution is reliable.""The deployment of the solution is quite fast."

"The product is very helpful in troubleshooting.""Juniper switches are smart and we have all the features that we want. You can rollback to the previous version if you make any mistake during configuration. This is not possible in Cisco.""The setup phase was straightforward.""The solution is easy to use and has good integration.""The most valuable feature is that the CLI is the same on all of the Juniper devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.""The virtual Chassis feature for stacking is good in general, with high bandwidth for the link, which is good.""Juniper EX Series is part of the Junos operating system and has a candidate configuration feature, which means changes are not immediately applied. It has a consistent command structure across all platforms and can handle both layer-three routing and layer-two switching. Additionally, the Junos OS offers virtualization options and support for multi-chassis and fabric switching. Overall, the Juniper EX Series is a versatile and powerful solution.""Juniper Ethernet Switches' best features are the high packer sorting and throughput, good uplink port capacity, and virtual setup."

Cons
"We are expecting one software that can run across all of Cisco hardware, software, and Cisco Switch router, similar to what Juniper has.""It's an old tool that needs to be more competitive with other solutions that are available on the market such as HP, or Dell.""Cisco offers a wide range of features, and in the enterprise and mid-segment market in Europe, we make use of most of them. Some features are essential for our operations, while others may go unused. The feature set provided by Cisco is comprehensive, and there's little more we could ask for. It would be a nice addition if, in the future, Cisco switches could incorporate artificial intelligence to provide proactive feedback and guidance instead of having to search for solutions ourselves. This development is likely to come with time, and we'll patiently await such enhanced functionality.""Linksys support is subpar.""The licensing could be simplified.""The pricing for this solution needs to be improved.""Cisco Linksys Ethernet Switches are stable but could be better.""The price of the solution should be lower and it should have better security and scalability."

"There are multiple areas of improvement in Juniper EX series switches. In terms of speed and pricing, while Juniper provides good quality services, some clients still find the price very high compared to other competitors. Also there is a need for certain features to be enhanced like clear our configuration process which will help to make Juniper switches more stronger. However, there are also multiple challenges including understanding and configuration of certain aspects difficult without assistance. Despite these kinds of challenges, there have been multiple solutions and huge potential of improvement in Juniper.""The management platforms for the network need improvement.""EX switches take too long to boot when we restart them for maintenance. We need to minimize downtime. Another issue is the command line interface. Juniper's commands are different from other switches, so it's hard to remember them.""The tool should improve its fabric.""The price could be a bit lower.""The protocols can be tunneled, but on a global basis, not on an interface, and this is a feature that should be added.""They could improve the code, as there are some issues with it.""One potential drawback of the Juniper EX Series has been that those without experience using a command-line interface (CLI) may find it intimidating. However, Junos is working on improving this by offering tools, such as Juniper Mist with Wired Assurance and Apstra. Additionally, the graphical user interface (GUI) could be improved as it has been considered lackluster across the board in Junos."
