We performed a comparison between Dell CloudBoost and Veeam Backup & Replication based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Cloud Backup solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."My customer has Dell EMC CloudBoost integrated with all of their other Dell products. It integrates well."
"The solution's support team is excellent."
"It's very easy to work with and it's very reliable."
"The initial setup was very easy."
"The solution is easy to install and very stable."
"The solution just works consistently. I never have issues with it."
"It has an intuitive interface, and it provides us with successful backups without needing to tweak or do any adjusting. We just set it up and like their ad says, "It Just Works.""
"My customers find the backup and recovery ease of use is the most beneficial feature."
"The main feature for Veeam is that it's built primarily for virtualization, such as VMware or Hyper-V."
"One of the most valuable features is the simplicity of the solution's administration."
"They should eliminate the tape-out function from the solution."
"Backup speed should be increased, and there should be more functionality."
"In the past, Veeam had a host-based license, but now it will be part of Microsoft's core license. I don't like this licensing model. Host-based licensing is better for my system. Maybe so other organizations prefer the core-based."
"CDP also requires a lot of development, because there are a lot of restrictions now for CDP. There is a chance to improve CDP and make it much easier for the customers."
"They can improve the features and Veeam Enterprise Manager. The interface and features are kind of limited. It would be good if they can provide more features and a better interface. For example, if I want to provide certain users with the privilege to back up and restore and do day-to-day tasks, I cannot do it in the current version. It is like you either give everything to everyone or no user can have access to anything. In version 9, a lot of features were missing, and it wasn't clear. Version 10 is easier from the communication perspective, and the disk backup option is very clear."
"There is always some room for improvement, especially with some of the different technologies such as DB2. Commvault has a DB2 agent, but Veeam still doesn't have it. We have to use the universal one for it."
"The ease of use could be improved, but I don't have a very deep amount of experience in Veeam, so it's difficult to say what could be improved."
"I have also been struggling with the storage and in some cases I need to move things due to performance."
"The only issue on which we would like to see for improvement would be, potentially, the ability to do some different things with recovery, like faster recovery onsite."
