We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I like the simplicity, the way it works out of the box. It's pretty easy to run and configure. The integration of the network devices with the ICAP server was easily done."

More MetaDefender Pros →

"The folders and files protection are its most valuable features. These have been valuable because of the increase in ransomware attacks. With these two features, I can ensure that no changes have been made to our system or endpoint folders and files without the user being aware.""The most valuable feature of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint is its ability to bring together all the data, providing more information than just antivirus hits.""Microsoft Defender for Endpoint comes pre-installed in Microsoft Windows.""It's not really visible for the user - which is a benefit.""It's stable.""Microsoft Defender is always running. It is doing its job, so it is fine. I don't have any issues with the way it was implemented or how we are running it. We have been upgrading IT throughout the years, but there have been no issues.""We had Norton Antivirus before, and with Norton, we didn't have a way to centrally manage a lot of features. Defender allowed us to deploy it from our Office 365 admin console. That is probably the biggest thing that made us go with Defender.""It's a Microsoft product; it's easier to deploy this product than other options."

Cons
"The documentation is not well written, and I often need to talk with support."

More MetaDefender Cons →

"Defender is free for one year. Once that year is over, we will switch to Kaspersky.""The deployment of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint on Windows 10 is not quite so straightforward. This could be made easier.""The end-user also cannot do some advanced actions on it. It's a little bit complicated for our end-user, so it needs to be simplified.""Sometimes the software doesn't work the way we expect it to, and in those cases, we can't communicate with a device because it may be infected.""It would be nice to have a paid upgrade that would provide additional screening of the day-to-day activities.""We encountered some issues when we were trying to enable automatic updates from our group policy.""I would like Microsoft to have some kind of direct integration for USB controls. They have GPO and other controls to control the access of the USB drives on devices, but if there is something that can be directly implemented into the portal, it would be good. There should be a way to control via a cloud portal or something like that in a dynamic way. USB control for data exfiltration would be a good feature to implement. Currently, there are ways to do it, but it involves too many different things. You have to implement it via GPOs and other stuff, and then you move or copy those big files via Defender ATP. If there is a simple way of implementing those features, it would be great.""I would like to see improvement from a management perspective. We have had to depend on Intune for certain tasks."
