We performed a comparison between Microsoft Azure and Pantheon based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two PaaS Clouds solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."Technical support, from what I understand, is quite helpful and we speak with them regularly."
"Microsoft Azure is scalable."
"The solution is user-friendly and compatible."
"Feedback and error messages make much more sense in Azure than in AWS."
"The stability is very good. The performance is excellent."
"It's a great solution. It's so customizable. Every user can create dashboards to suit their needs. We can create and share them with our teammates easily, too."
"The solution has given us more agility, scalability and opportunity to optimize the cost."
"I use a virtual machine for remote desktop and Microsoft Azure is user-friendly."
"The product allows users to create multiple development environments."
"Pantheon has the most valuable workflow model."
"I would like it if Microsoft communicated better about upcoming changes before they roll them out. Sometimes when Microsoft implements changes, they don't notify the users promptly enough. I would like to know about new features, especially Office 365."
"Navigating the frequent changes in the interface has been a challenge, requiring effort to keep up with updates. Options or features that were once located in one window may unexpectedly move to another, making it hard to stay current with the changes."
"I would say an improvement could be allowing for more external, third-party tools. However, I think that's their vision, how they develop the product."
"It should have a better hybrid-cloud central analysis. Their support service also needs to be improved. Our main concern is support calls. Our issue is basically related to the technical functionality of the services that we use. It doesn't behave as expected, and support often fails to solve the problem."
"I would like to see better policy-based management and everything related to security management could have been better integrated."
"I would like to see more databases on the cloud, what they call today Big Data should be there."
"Pricing is one area where Azure has room for improvement. There should be some due consideration. Azure has solved some issues with pricing from the development team's standpoint, but it is still quite costly. They should also offer a trial period for the individual platform solutions. I think that would be pretty handy for the developers."
"The interface for configuring the environment is not very intuitive. Certain things are at different places, and it is not easy to navigate. They should have a more transparent licensing model. Currently, Microsoft's licensing is a bit clunky, and it keeps changing depending on the type of subscription you have. Different features are included, and sometimes, it is very hard to figure out the right licensing. So, the commercial aspect of the licensing can be improved, and they can make it easier to understand all the features that are included."
"The Multidev environment is very costly compared to other tools like AWS and GCP."
"Pantheon has the most valuable workflow model."
