We performed a comparison between Qualys VMDR and Skybox Security Suite based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Risk-Based Vulnerability Management solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The prioritization feature is great. I think it has all of the advanced features that we need."
"The vulnerability management feature is what I used the most. It is a good SaaS product. It is easy to use. It has a nice UI where you can see all the assets and vulnerabilities."
"Great web application security for scanning."
"The process of defining and discovering scans is organized efficiently."
"Qualys VM is very stable."
"It's really beneficial for scanning and interacting with the agent."
"Tech support is helpful."
"It's very configurable to adjust impact to systems."
"When you import all the assets that you have, like desktops, servers, networks, devices, routers, and then firewalls, and other products, then Skybox makes like, a model of the network, but with context. So, it is not just a model in VIZIO. Or something like it like that. You get the model with context, and, like, it looks like a real network in a real-time. So you can check your network and the security of your network on that model."
"The solution's simplicity of use is its most valuable feature."
"We use Network Assurance for network visualisation and troubleshooting."
"We are currently working on rule review and compliance. The logging features are good."
"It has a good policy management feature and can provide customers with good quality outputs."
"The most valuable features are Firewall Assurance and Vulnerability Control."
"I think that compliance checks and policy compliance are the product's good features."
"It's very supportive and very user-friendly."
"The tool needs to improve the adding assets and report generation features. I would like to see the policy scan of offline appliances in the product's future releases."
"Sometimes the scanning can get overwhelmed and start to drag when a lot of users are trying to scan at once."
"The price could be better. Asset view is still a legacy feature. I'm not able to extract the information about the asset with complete details. It would be better if they fixed that in the next release. I know Qualys is already working on it, so I'm hopeful it will be available in the next five or six months. That would be something that's changed where I seek improvement."
"There needs to be better documentation."
"Qualys should improve their customer experience. They need to improve the tech support experience and the turnaround time."
"It is more expensive vs. other products on the market."
"I would like to have CSPM, a continuous scan-like cloud added to the solution."
"Qualys VM's scanner doesn't pick up every vulnerability, so we have to use multiple scanners to cover that gap."
"The stability is something that is questionable. I don't know whether it is because of the kind of infrastructure we have or because of the product in itself. We're running it on a virtual machine right now. Maybe once a month, or once in every 45 days, it requires a restart because the application fails to connect. So I have to restart the whole Skybox Manager itself, the Skybox server itself, and then connect to it from our Skybox Manager."
"The solution needs improvement in firewall configuration checks. I would also like to see more configuration checks for Forcepoint and for other non-supported firewalls."
"The only place where Skybox has room for improvement, and they're working on releasing this, it's just a slow-go, is the UI. The user interface has historically been via a locally installed thick client. They are moving to a web-based console and it's slowly coming out."
"There is room for improvement in pricing. It would be better, especially if a customer bought all four modules."
"The Network Assurance, which helps to create the network model, is not so rich."
"The setup documentation needs a lot of improvement."
"The support could be improved."
"Skybox should improve their UX features by making them easier to use."
