We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It is a comprehensive BI solution that provides reporting, planning, and predictive analytics in one solution. You don't have to buy three different products. It is very flexible. It can be implemented very quickly. It has a lot of out-of-the-box scenarios that you can use for quick deployment.""The most valuable feature of SAP Analytics Cloud is its integration with SAP.""The new Application Design option offers lots of customization options by being able to script in Typescript (similar to Javascript).""The features that are most valuable in SAP Analytics Cloud are the planning feature and the predictive analytics feature, though the planning feature needs to be more efficient.""The visualization feature is the most valuable. SAP Analytics Cloud is also very easy to use.""I like the predictive features of SAP. It's easy to use tools for an end-user.""The solution is stable.""The product is flexible and has features like AI, link analysis, and insights. It has many features. I can search, and it creates automatic charts without selecting anything. For example, I can ask, "What is the gross margin?" the tool builds a chart based on my question."

"TIBCO Spotfire is easy to use. We initiated Spotfire as POC, with support from a tech team based in South Africa. While they assisted with the setup, we conducted the POC ourselves.""Data discovery is very simple.""The most valuable features of TIBCO Spotfire are visualization. It's very nice, clear, and, flexible. You can analyze many data types and the user interface is very good.""It's scalable.""One of the main features is integrated statistical analysis.""The most valuable feature is the map visuals that help us connect to the geo-specialized data which is more advanced than other solutions.""It’s stable and straightforward.""Live Query data on demand, R and Python integration, and the ability to write HTML and JavaScript text areas are all valuable features."

Cons
"SAP Analytics Cloud should improve the dashboard.""We are currently working on connectivity with S/4HANA, but we would like to have better connectivity with our legacy systems.""What should be improved in SAP Analytics Cloud is the speed of importing information and data, e.g. from SAP S/4HANA. Gathering the data from the main database takes a bit of time.""There is plenty of room for improvement. They have different products, and you need to integrate all of them to have one functionality. For example, data extraction happens in Datasphere. Then it would be best if you had some connection between the Datasphere and the SAP Analytics Cloud to get the data, as this is causing headaches sometimes. The knowledge base and Jedox also could be more meaningful. I have tried to search for some specific knowledge base and technology base, and I didn't find them. I have learned it by trial and error. There is room to improve the integrations between the different products. The AFS, and the Data action, need improvement. Sometimes they release new tools and updates, but not in my area.""It seems like there's a problem with the tool's licenses. If there are a lot of users, like 200, who only use the solution once a year, paying for a full-year license for each user is expensive. There's no option for users who only use the solution occasionally.""Sometimes there are speed issues with big deletion data.""SAP Analytics Cloud requires a lot of coding and I would like the coding to be somewhat minimal.""I am not happy with the predictive analytics features and smart features offered by the product, making them areas where improvements are required."

More SAP Analytics Cloud Cons →

"The solution might be generic.""When you do the data loading, it is slow.""We would like an easier way to get the product to the cloud. Right now, we have the on-premise version, and we would like to find a way to make it easier to migrate it over to the cloud.""We would like to see some improvement in the default properties of the solution, so that there is less need for us to spend our time coding.""The way TIBCO Spotfire is designed, in my opinion, is the reason why it lags a bit, especially compared to other BI tools like Qlik.""One aspect where Spotfire could improve is its global recognition, especially in terms of support.""The data compression has room for improvement.""Personalising Spotfire, as a whole, is painful and is something that could be made easier."
