We performed a comparison between Aruba Instant On Access Points and Cambium Networks Wireless LAN based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Wireless LAN solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The solution is pretty generic and easy to use."
"In terms of reporting, in terms of all the user reports, it's very rich."
"The most valuable feature of Juniper Wireless Access Points (AP Series) is the ability to troubleshoot ports on the network. Additionally, when there is an update on the APs they are able to reboot quickly reducing downtime. Other solutions have a longer downtime when updates are done."
"The artificial intelligence feature is very good."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is Marvis, the AI-driven network management system."
"Overall, we've been very pleased with the performance."
"With Mist, every Wednesday they roll out new features."
"It provides private network access, helping us protect our company’s devices."
"Regarding access points, the customer typically considers low-cost plans, and Ruckus Unleashed Access Points are commonly used. These access points are managed through the Microsoft console and can be accessed either with or without ports. The management is done through a controller. The main benefits customers see include cost-effectiveness, especially for those with budget constraints. Aruba, in particular, provides a good user experience. Some customers might choose Huawei, but enterprise access points are also considered. Additionally, the unified access point capabilities are valuable, allowing management from the same account. However, there is a limitation of twenty-five access points, and if a customer requires more, they need to create another site or account. If the customer exceeds twenty-five access points, they need to generate another site or virtual business to manage additional access points, as the external number is limited to twenty-five."
"It's super user-friendly."
"The mobile app is good. We have many things that are connected through mobile. Most users use mobile to connect to the Wi-Fi."
"The configuration is very simple."
"The most valuable feature of Aruba Instant On Access Points is they are easy to manage."
"The initial setup is very simple."
"Aruba is much better than other vendors like Cisco and NETGEAR in terms of quality, price, and value for money."
"The initial setup is easy."
"The product has valuable throughput capabilities. It also has an inbuilt spectrum analyzer for stable connectivity."
"The product is user-friendly and helps with cost minimization."
"They all have controllers built in, and we manage them all with a web-based management tool."
"The cloud-based management provided by Cambium Networks is particularly valuable to us, as it allows us to efficiently manage Wi-Fi, point-to-point connections, firewalls, and switches across various locations from a centralized platform. This enables us to be proactive in providing support and ensures smooth operations for our clients."
"It offers features that are essential for an efficient and high-performance wireless LAN deployment, where capacity, coverage, and quality are optimized, and frequency bands are selected based on the specific needs of the network."
"Cambium Networks Wireless LAN is easy to deploy. The implementation can take two weeks to four months."
"The web-based administration is what I find most beneficial."
"We can scale it if we need to."
"Juniper Wireless AP can improve by continually improving its reporting and integration with other systems."
"Enrolling into the tool is a tedious process."
"If you want to do more specific stuff, it's a bit limited."
"The price could be better."
"The pricing should be made cheaper."
"The solution is expensive."
"I need a bit more time with it before criticizing the features."
"Juniper Wireless Access Points (AP Series) could improve if the MIST platform had a built-in master key. This would be an advantage."
"It is scalable to a certain degree but not nearly as scalable and robust as your enterprise-grade solutions."
"The solution can be more integrated with other brands."
"When there are a lot of people connected, especially during video streaming demonstrations, the connection can get a bit choppy."
"Software-wise, I would like to have a way of moving APs from site to site and wish there would be a way to add more APs to one site. I know the limit is 25 APs per site and I wish there were more."
"I believe there's room for improvement in the validation process, especially for customers facing compliance issues when managing access points from the cloud. It would be beneficial if the access points could also be managed from an on-premises controller. Regarding additional features, customers express interest in enhancing the controller, specifically improving the capability to manage a higher number of access points from the same controller. This feature is crucial for better scalability. Another feature that customers would appreciate is the ability to increase the number of access points. However, the current process for obtaining this permission can be time-consuming, and customers would like to see improvements in this regard."
"The product's machine or equipment can cater to around 20 connections and cannot go beyond 50 simultaneous connections, because of which I think the tool's scalability is limited."
"I would like to see a feature that blocks, increases, or decreases bandwidth capacity for devices."
"While it is mostly scalable, there are some limitations."
"The problem with this radio wireless technology is that it cannot compete in terms of bandwidth with the fiber optics at this moment. That's the biggest weakness."
"I believe there's room for improvement in the configuration options for point-to-point setups directly from the cloud management interface. Currently, the process feels a bit clunky—you monitor the unit in the cloud but need to make configuration changes by editing a text file, then downloading it back to the unit. This method can be error-prone, as even a small mistake in the text file could disrupt the unit's configuration."
"The capacity and coverage could be improved."
"We would like this product to have more information data sheets available. At present we cannot easily access details around the full capability of a piece of equipment."
"The product pricing needs improvement."
"The solution should be scalable, offering better pricing options as we optimize the network for coverage, capacity, and quality"
"There is room for improvement in the pricing model."
"Not a lot of technical engineers are familiar with Cambium Networks Wireless LAN. They are familiar with implementing and using other solutions such as Aruba. Therefore, Cambium Networks needs to be more visible in the marketplace."
