We performed a comparison between Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Qualys VMDR based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Container Security solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The offensive security where they do a fix is valuable. They go to a misconfiguration and provide detailed alerts on what could be there. They also provide a remediation feature where if we give the permission, they can also go and fix the issue."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to gain deep visibility into the workloads inside containers."
"PingSafe offers security solutions for both Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines."
"PingSafe's integration is smooth. They are highly customer-oriented, and the integration went well for us."
"PingSafe offers comprehensive security posture management."
"We noted immediate benefits from using the solution."
"My favorite feature is Storyline."
"I did a lot of research before signing up and doing the demo. They have a good reputation as far as catching threats early on."
"Has a good management feature monitored by the cloud service provider."
"The solution's technical support is excellent."
"The most valuable feature is the autoscaling and self-healing."
"The tool is budget-friendly."
"The serverless capability and auto scale feature are the most valuable."
"Integration and automation are the best features of the solution."
"AKS as a service is very good when you need to leverage applications or functions with much variability in their usage because you're trying to be as efficient as you can with resources."
"We like how easy it is to create the resources in this solution, thanks to how easy the UI is to use."
"Qualys VM is very stable."
"The reporting functionality is great."
"The most valuable features are vulnerability scanning, policy compliance scanning, and tablet for web application scanning."
"The biggest benefit is from a security operations perspective, where we are able to drive our security posture upwards by remediating any discovered vulnerabilities."
"The Vulnerability Management and Patch Management features are the most valuable features of this solution."
"The most valuable feature is the certificate management."
"What I like about Qualys VM is the dashboard presentation. It's very good."
"This is one of the best products I have worked with so far. I like the power of Qualys, and it's a better solution because you can scan a compact file, a BIT file, or batch files. The product already knows what's happening inside, and you don't need to expand the package. Tenable will do the same thing, but you need to have a package issuance claim. With Qualys, we can immediately understand the file, even a compact file. If there's some kind of discovery or incident, you will know what happened in the environment."
"In terms of ease of use, initially, it is a bit confusing to navigate around, but once you get used to it, it becomes easier."
"I would like PingSafe to add real-time detection of vulnerabilities and cloud misconfigurations."
"We've found a lot of false positives."
"A beneficial improvement for PingSafe would be integration with Jira, allowing for a more streamlined ticketing system."
"Bugs need to be disclosed quickly."
"One of our use cases was setting up a firewall for our endpoints, specifically for our remote users... We were hoping to utilize SentinelOne's firewall capabilities, but there were limitations on how many URLs we could implement. Because of those limitations on the number of URLs, we weren't able to utilize that feature in the way we had hoped to."
"For vulnerabilities, they are showing CVE ID. The naming convention should be better so that it indicates the container where a vulnerability is present. Currently, they are only showing CVE ID, but the same CVE ID might be present in multiple containers. We would like to have the container name so that we can easily fix the issue."
"Cloud Native Security's reporting could be better. We are unable to see which images are impacted. Several thousand images have been deployed, so if we can see some application-specific information in the dashboard, we can directly send that report to the team that owns the application. We'd also like the option to download the report from the portal instead of waiting for the report to be sent to our email."
"I would like to see a graphical user interface."
"It would be nice if they could handle the management of personal information more efficiently."
"The initial setup is complex."
"The solution's logs have room for improvement."
"The initial setup of AKS is complicated. The setup depends on the cluster, nodes, and lots of other things. There are also lots of extremely critical small devices. Moreover, you will have to pay them even while setting up the solution. It is not like you setup first and then pay for it."
"If any customer uses a traditional code, the code-level changes take a lot of time."
"The solution should improve its UI and cost."
"I would like to see the stability get more synchronized."
"I would like to see more accuracy in detections, better reporting capabilities, and better dashboard download capabilities."
"It's not very user-friendly at times and requires in-depth understanding. So, a layman or someone new to Qualys won't be able to easily understand it. You need education to use the solution."
"Qualys should improve their customer experience. They need to improve the tech support experience and the turnaround time."
"Improve the API speed."
"We face issues while scanning multiple assets."
"The ability to manage user accounts and give rights to the operator to know about abnormalities of applications is something that needs improvement."
"When tested on Zero day, there were errors."
"There needs to be better documentation."
