Problem free scalability, reliable, with straightforward setup
It has good, reliable, and fast storage. We really like snapshot features and how automatable and programmable it is. It is all managed with ad sport and playbooks We have been using Pure FlashArray X NVMe for about a year now. Scalability has been great. We have run into a couple of instances…

Has a good cyber-resilient approach to data security
Initially, the performance caught our attention. It was optimal for block storage. We used Cloud IQ. The central management and outside support functionality were great since we had systems all over the world. The cyber-resilient approach to data security is good. We used the encryption. We had to do that for compliance. It was sufficient for our cyber team. We did see a reduction in the footprint while using the product. We were able to go down in rack space and saw some significant downsizing. It integrates with VMware well. It's easy. We can easily create data storage with VMware, so we don't always need a storage architect.

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The licensing is on a yearly basis."
"Pure FlashArray X NVMe’s pricing is cheaper than other products."
"They can tout the functionality and cutting edge technology that they have, but that's where the price tag comes in. The cost is high, but I think as they grow their business and get more customers that it will probably go down a little bit."
"Our licensing fees are $500,000+ USD."
"The product is expensive."
"The tool is an investment that we've budgeted for. While the prices may be higher than those of other vendors, we see it as a market leader with benefits. We don't regret purchasing it."
"We pay approximately $50,000 USD per year in licensing fees."
"Pretty much everything that you need is licensed when you buy the product. Licensing to me is different than the maintenance cost, but they can bleed into one another. We buy the product, and we expect three years of support bundled into what we negotiate on our storage arrays. I would start to see maintenance costs going into the fourth year, but we're not there yet."
"With compression, we were able to have a solution within our company's budget. We include a clause in the contract with Dell that states if the compression ratio is not met, we will adjust the workload accordingly."
"There are no separate licenses required as all the basic licenses are included in the bundle."
"PowerStore's pricing is reasonable."
"We are currently using Dell PowerStore for our smaller storage and there is no competition for pricing."
"Dell PowerStore charges for the hardware warranty every three years. The price will depend on the storage model or how much hardware it has."
"It is very expensive though when you get to this point of using the 3000 with a client. They will start to think about using another vendor. There are a lot of solutions similar to PowerStore in regards to networking capacity and their prices are very cheap compared to PowerStore."
"It is expensive compared to one of its competitors."
"The price of Dell PowerStore could improve. The price should be managed more compared to Huawei Dorado or IBM All-Flash series."
