We performed a comparison between Alteryx Designer and Denodo based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Data Integration solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The functionality of drag and drop is the most valuable. It is a very user-friendly tool that can be understood easily. My teams also work with other solutions, such as Integration Services, and these solutions are very difficult for people who don't have technical knowledge."
"I believe in the ability to connect to multiple data sources, as well as the ease of use to transform data and output data in a variety of formats."
"I like Alteryx Designer's drag-and-drop feature, where you drag a component, configure it and quickly run it."
"The most valuable features are the integrated properties and integrated connectivity."
"The product is very stable. The performance is reliable."
"For my daily analytics needs, the entire Alteryx Designer platform is beneficial."
"The features I found most valuable are the preparation features – the Join and the Transform."
"Alteryx Designer's best features are that it's easy to use and performs well."
"It is easy to virtualize data using the solution."
"The most valuable features are data lineage and the concept of a semantic layer."
"Denodo makes it easy to export data as a service or data link to other services."
"In general, it's good for us to make tests so we can scout the data."
"Denodo is lightweight in terms of how it leads you to combine your discrete data systems at one spot."
"It can support a number of data sources, and it can pull flat files, from cloud-based databases or from those on-premises. Denodo can pull from any data source and interface with the view. Then, we can publish the view."
"It is a very stable solution."
"The data abstraction is the most valuable feature."
"The actual usage part of it needs to be explained more. It's too vague right now."
"When configuring the Logix, the UA could be improved."
"We need more documentation."
"The major concern in Alteryx Designer stems from the high costs attached to the product."
"Alteryx could move faster to create a cloud equivalent of the desktop version of Designer."
"Based on my experience, the tool could be improved by providing sample reports or pre-configured workflows tailored to specific industries, like finance. It needs to integrate an AI chatbot as well."
"The conditional join feature should be improved."
"Optimizing processing times is one area I would like to see improved in Alteryx Designer. Sometimes, the workflows take an extremely long time to run. There are days when I have had to wait two to three hours for a single process to complete. There needs to be a functionality to split the processes."
"We can't scale it to meet digital requirements."
"Performance management could be improved."
"Denodo's training documentation could be improved by providing more material. From an administrative standpoint, I've found that only Denodo websites provide the usual tutorials. It may be because it's a bit of a restricted tool, but it results in trouble with learning. Normally, I can find help and solutions from other sources, but I haven't been able to find any for Denodo. Other that, it's fine and it performs well. I only have six months of experience, so I can't accurately suggest improvements."
"The data catalog certainly has room for improvement. It is functional but we look forward to development. We are in constant contact with Denodo and they are fully aware of our needs."
"The support is not the best and should be improved."
"Sometimes, Windows-related functions do not work properly in Denodo. The analytic functions in SQL do not work properly."
"There have been some issues when you are at a table. Currently, Denodo exports data sets for a tabular model. When you are finished modeling your database or data warehouse they export a link to be used in Tableau. They should support other tools like Power BI."
"The solution is slow when there are many virtualization layers."
