We performed a comparison between Automation Anywhere and Microsoft Power Automate based on our users’ reviews in four categories. After reading all of the collected data, you can find our conclusion below.
Comparison of Results: Based on the parameters we compared, Automation Anywhere seems to be a slightly superior solution. All other things being more or less equal, our reviewers found Microsoft Power Automate’s automation capabilities and technical support documents to be lacking. Some users feel that Automation Anywhere’s documentation could also be improved.
"The data capture feature is very valuable. I know there are also some elements where you have to be able to incorporate AI, but I haven't gotten to that level yet."
"We mostly used the Database commands in order to make the process faster and more secure, rather than using Excel or a CSV for reading the input files."
"From the customer's perspective, the biggest benefits are automation of the security and monitoring systems."
"This solution has decreased the time that our employees spend on manual processes."
"Workbench, which is a development tool, is very friendly. It is complete. Compared to Power Automate, Automation Anywhere is much more comprehensive and easy to understand."
"We've had many sit-down conversations with the Automation Anywhere team when we were testing out the document automation. We gave them feedback about potential enhancements, so when we launched our most recent document automation use case, the capabilities were already there. We didn't need to come up with a workaround or put the project on hold because the things we needed were unavailable. That commitment to customer success stands out because they know that without us, the product won't succeed."
"I really like Screen Recording because it is used to record a task or a series of actions."
"We saw a 70 percent decrease in manual steps. If something took 10 steps to do, we are doing it in three steps today."
"The initial setup isn't too difficult."
"The solution helps automate manual tasks and interacts with multiple applications."
"Power Automate is a better and more cost-effective solution compared to Automation tools."
"The initial setup isn't too difficult."
"The templates on offer are very good."
"Its complete integration with Microsoft tools and the inclusion of the CRM are the most valuable features. It is embedded directly in the Office package, so clients have direct access to it. It has a lot more functionality than other standalone solutions, such as UiPath or Blue Prism."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to integrate across multiple systems."
"It's easy to learn."
"It would be better if they could extend the support for AA version 11 for a few more years, as most of the companies have tasks completed in AA version 11, and A2019 is much slower compared to AA 11."
"The product needs improvements in dealing with remote servers and providing more APIs that will be used with other systems."
"If the option were available to use the old generic-style variable type, it would be helpful."
"PDF extraction and cognitive automation need improvement."
"Automation Anywhere should make it easier for developers to manage queues and exception handling. The OCR component could also be better. We have had to use other OCR tools to get information from the account documents."
"I would like to have a command that allows me to add code, like C#. As a developer, this would be helpful."
"IQ Bot requires a significant improvement for its data detection and data retention, mainly from the previously trained documents: regarding the document's format, layout, data contained within the document, the type of data that needs to be extracted."
"Looking at the POC's requirements and use cases, our customers are asking us for the OCRing of handwritten documents."
"The solution could have more integration with different platforms."
"From an improvement perspective, Microsoft just needs to make sure that they have a real enterprise RPA tool. PowerApps and Power Automate are still not at the level of UiPath and Automation Anywhere. It could be because Automation Anywhere and UiPath have been in the market for quite some time. It's just about Microsoft increasing their focus in terms of product reviews and development and making them competitive products that one can consider at an enterprise level. Right now, their use cases are limited as compared to what one would consider doing with UiPath and Automation Anywhere."
"Inability to use a lot of connectors without having a premium license."
"Microsoft could offer more AI education and training."
"The solution could use some more advanced AI tools. It's one of the solution's only weaknesses."
"While working with big data, when we have structured data like logs, we have to work with an ETL tool before manipulating the data and creating the workflows and the forms. This can be improved. Big data support is something that I'd like to be covered a lot."
"It should work better for Angular websites, as it has a lot of problems."
"The tool must be more stable."
