Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The product is very reliable and very easy to use.""Its ease of use is most valuable. A lot of the bulk functionality is done either through standalone or custom connectors and standard API processes.""Different trigger events were most valuable. You could schedule a process on a recurring basis, at a certain time of day or week, or when something happens, which is huge.""With the desktop version, we can automate many things. The ability to do a lot of things is one of the most valuable features.""The connectors are a very good feature.""You can automate almost everything in your organization by simply dragging and dropping and selecting a few options, whether it's an Excel spreadsheet or other on-premise data.""The most valuable feature of Microsoft Power Automate in the desktop version is web scraping because you can do a lot with it. I work in retail and you can study prices changes, which can give you a lot of information. The solution is no code which is a large advantage.""Its integration with the Office 365 ecosystem is most valuable. We use a lot of ready-to-use templates."

"The option to record processes is the most important feature of UiPath. We can use it to record every action automatically and it is then converted to a workflow. This workflow defines the complete set of processes so that we can automate every requirement.""UiPath Orchestrator is a valuable feature for us. We started with all attended bots without Orchestrator, on-premises or on the cloud. It was almost like a very low-cost way to prove that we needed this technology and that we could use it. So, for our first year we did that. For the second year, we got Orchestrator, and it has given us the ability to utilize the bots more effectively. I thought we were going to have more attended bots, and we didn't because the process owners wanted things to happen in the background and wanted to be able to schedule them. Being able to do that and not have to have someone worry about triggering the bot or babysitting the computer while the bot runs, etc. has been the biggest gamechanger for us.""With UiPath, development is easy because they have their own Studio. We just run UiPath Studio, drag and drop the components that we require, and connect all the dots. When we're doing website automation or web app automation, we can use their UI-based Studio and grab the elements from the web application using XPath, which makes the development easier.""I like the Orchestrator and the AI Center. The AI Center has many pre-trained trained models you can adapt to your requirements.""The customer support is supportive and knowledgeable. They are always willing to help and support me.""The most valuable thing about this solution is that it is easy to develop and easy to train everyone how to use.""Previously, nobody could automate the process. The design and implementation allowed clients to handle their own data, for example, for transfers and items like that. We were able to digitize entirely from end to end. Now, the customer doesn't have to come to the bank and they don't need a pen and paper. They just have to log on and fill out the details of their request.""We have a sizable infrastructure, so it is necessary to have Orchestrator deploy all of the robots in all of our servers. It is not possible to work only with one computer. Therefore, that is an essential feature for me."

Cons
"While Microsoft has a way of integrating well with itself and its own internal tools, it could do more to include external options and add them to the mix.""One of the challenges is dealing with OCR text recognition.""Power Automate is too complicated - it forces you to go through extra tasks instead of streamlining your workflow.""There are some bugs or intermittent behavior in the Excel activities that require using workarounds.""The product should improve its RPA capabilities.""The licensing model is difficult to understand and is something that should be improved.""There should be a comprehensive or enterprise level of application to provide the cognitive AI, and there should be orchestration so that I can control all the robots on one station. The other tools are currently providing these features.""I rate the technical support from Microsoft Power Automate a four out of five."

More Microsoft Power Automate Cons →

"If you don't change the name of the activity manually then you will lose some information during logging. It would be useful to put a simple incremental ID on each activity, so even if you don't change the activity name, you will know where the process becomes stuck.""UiPath fails jobs sometimes and doesn't give you direct instructions on why it failed. A little more insight into failed jobs would be beneficial. It should have more documentation and short training modules.""The bots do not seem stable and we spend a lot of time fixing things that break.""One of my biggest frustrations with UiPath is that they're constantly changing the underlying technology and adding features, so you're not always in a stable state. You're looking at the next shiny thing, and that distracts us from our initiative. Because we work with the government, we must go through the security assessment process each time they change something. We have to pay the costs associated with reviewing their infrastructure.""UiPath needs to improve its onboarding and operational excellence.""The stability is not that good yet for whatever reasons. We have a lot of safety critical things that have to be 99.999% availability, so we're struggling a little bit.""UiPath should focus more on recommendations of process automation based on ERP Applications like Oracle, SAP etc. They should also provide a list of possible RPA cases as per departments, processes and based on various industry domains.""The speed of upgrades is really hard to follow."
