The command line utilities allow bulk manipulation of documents.
The full-text indexing and search of PDF documents. The command line utilities allow bulk manipulation of documents; that is, if any reorganization is needed. For one implementation, the full-text indexing of PDF documents and associated search were the most valuable features. It allowed the department to search with sufficient accuracy that there was no need to add metadata during the upload/content intake process. This greatly reduced the document preparation and scanning time. DocuShare has a set of command line utilities that allow you to manipulate documents in batches. For example, it allows you to move all documents with a keyword in the title to a new folder. Due to these command line tools, the project didn't require API licensing nor did it require any additional support from the Xerox professional service; thus, it saved time and money.
