We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"SAP CRM integrates well with SAP ERP which is useful.""Getting the right information at the right time across different programs is important. These programs lack interaction between them. IPA is a good option to bring them together.""From the bank perspective, it's user-friendly and simple to develop something specific for a certain customer. It allows customization for individual customers rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.""We like that this solution has made our whole accounting function paperless.""The solution's contract management and product hierarchy features of SAP CRM are the most beneficial for our business operations.""What I found most valuable in SAP CRM is its multitenancy, and you can use it from your website, SMS, and even social media, and it's all integrated, so my company is trying to leverage on all of those.""It was comfortable setting up the tool.""The solution assists us in identifying what to send, what to offer, and what customers are buying."

"You can enable it for business users or marketing users to use it in a self-service way. So, the technical team is needed to build the features or processes, and then those processes can be used in a self-service way by your non-technical users.""SAP Marketing Automation is user-friendly. The interface is nice and clear. You can see the different diagrams and define various filters and targets. You can also export the customer information you collect to make the campaign. It's easy to understand how this information is entered. There are also a lot of platforms that show the results of campaigns. You can customize your data and define different reports, but SAS also provides a standard report."

Cons
"There are quite a lot of missing parts in SAP CRM, which is why we do a lot of customization. Not everything is there, and some things need custom coding to cater to specific needs. It is not a plug-and-play solution with standard features, and we have to customize quite a lot.""It was not very stable. It was not a network problem because we were using tools that were not SAP. They were working well. But when I'm running the SAP, it's not working for us.""SAP CRM could improve in the area of user-friendliness. It would help if you had an engineer to do the administration. The migration is complex when moving from the old version to the latest version.""The interface could be improved.""What I see as a challenge against our competitor is that Salesforce comes with more flexibility, for enhancement purposes, whereas the SAP CRM Cloud is more robust and rigid. It's not flexible to implement any bespoke solution.""It can be a bit more user friendly, to be honest. Sometimes there are too many apps options. It should offer better UX (user experience) to make it easier to navigate and easier to use.""There could be some specific configurable options on the UI level to improve visibility.""There is no scope for integration because SAP does not allow any personal integration."

"You need to buy connectors to integrate Marketing Automation with various suppliers. For example, if I want to see the data through Power BI, I need a connector to see the data directly. Otherwise, you need to do everything manually. You have to download information from SAS and then save a text file, and then I can import it into Power BI. I would like Marketing Automation to have this native functionality without the need to pay more for connectors.""The product is highly customizable, but the marketing and business teams want a lot of things to be built out of the box. A lot of features that could be out of the box aren't there. The main concern is to keep the system in such a way that it provides you with some out-of-the-box features and some customizable features as well."

Pricing and Cost Advice

  • "SAP CRM is an expensive solution and is the most challenging aspect of the solution."
  • "SAP CRM costs approximately a couple of thousand a month."
  • "Its price is reasonable. As compared to other CRMs, this CRM is competitively priced. They have multiple flavors with different sets of functionality. Pricing is based on the flavor that suits your requirement. If you have more users, the cost will come down."
  • "The pricing from SAP is good but it takes time to realize the investment."

  • "I'm not aware of the full cost. The financials are not with me. In terms of additional costs, there are always OpEx and CapEx. That's one way to look at it. You also need separate hardware to deploy the product."
