Oracle has a better solution via the cloud which would help to avoid infrastructure-related efforts, expenses, and related challenges. On the other hand, JD Edwards has its own pluses. I understand that you may not get major enhancements going forward with JD Edwards which will not be the case with regard to Oracle. If these are not the only two choices, Microsoft Dynamics 365 may be the one you are looking for.
