We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Cloud Native Security helps us discover vulnerabilities in a cloud environment like open ports that allow people to attack our environment. If someone unintentionally opens a port, we are exposed. Cloud Native Security alerts us so we can remediate the problem. We can also automate it so that Cloud Native Security will fix it.""The visibility is the best part of the solution.""My favorite feature is Storyline.""Cloud Native Security's most valuable features include cloud misconfiguration detection and remediation, compliance monitoring, a robust authentication security engine, and cloud threat detection and response capabilities.""It used to guide me about an alert. There is something called an alert guide. I used to click on the alert guide, and I could read everything. I could read about the alert and how to resolve it. I used to love that feature.""It's positively affected the communication between cloud security, application developers, and AppSec teams.""The user interface is well-designed and easy to navigate.""All the features we use are equal and get the job done."

"The most valuable feature is the ability to work with the APIs to integrate into our own backend systems.""The feature that I find most valuable is the blocking feature.""Good interface and visibility.""People implementing this solution are concerned with addressing a significant risk, and within the AWS realm, this tool does de-risk substantially.""Auto remediation is a very effective feature that helps ensure less manual intervention.""The various CNAPP modules have granted more visibility of our cloud applications to our system engineers and developers.""Check Point CloudGuard CNAPP's initial configuration is very easy. It is plug-and-play. It also gives regular updates.""This solution has saved the company from unnecessary data loss that occurs due to cyber attacks."

"The most valuable features of this solution are the advanced firewall and malware prevention."

Cons
"I want PingSafe to integrate additional third-party resources. For example, PingSafe is compatible with Azure and AWS, but Azure AD isn't integrated with AWS. If PingSafe had that ability, it would enrich the data because how users interact with our AWS environment is crucial. All the identity-related features require improvement.""We are getting reports only in a predefined form. I would like to have customized reports so that I can see how many issues are open or closed today or in two weeks.""We use PingSafe and also SentinelOne. If PingSafe integrated some of the endpoint security features of SentinelOne, it would be the perfect one-stop solution for everything. We wouldn't need to switch between the products. At my organization, I am responsible for endpoint security and vulnerability management. Integrating both functions into one application would be ideal because I could see all the alerts, heat maps, and reports in one console.""Scanning capabilities should be added for the dark web.""There is a bit of a learning curve for new users.""I used to work on AWS. At times, I would generate a normal bug in my system, and then I would check PingSafe. The alert used to come after about three and a half hours. It used to take that long to generate the alert about the vulnerability in my system. If a hacker attacks a system and PingSafe takes three to four hours to generate an alert, it will not be beneficial for the company. It would be helpful if we get the alert in five to ten minutes.""They could generally give us better comprehensive rules.""After closing an alert in Cloud Native Security, it still shows as unresolved."

More SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security Cons →

"Making basic rules is easy, but it's complex if you want to do something a little more nuanced. I've been unable to make some rules that I wanted. I couldn't evaluate some values or parameters of the components I look for. I haven't always been able to assess them.""Currently, I would like this solution extended to cellular devices or tablets.""CloudGuard could be more customizable. It has built-in standards for things like GDPR compliance. But depending on your business lane, you might want to build your own controls based on your own standards.""The price of this solution should be reduced so that it is more affordable to scale.""The license cost is expensive and has room for improvement.""Automation and advanced threat prevention have room for improvement.""In general, for the product to be successful, they need to improve security, and configuration detection.""When rules change, it messes up the remediation. They haven't found a fix for that yet. The remediation rule goes into limbo. It's an architectural design flaw within their end compliance engine—a serious bug."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "As a partner, we receive a discount on the licenses."
  • "It's a fair price for what you get. We are happy with the price as it stands."
  • "I wasn't sure what to expect from the pricing, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a little less than I thought."
  • "Singularity Cloud Workload Security's pricing is good."
  • "Singularity Cloud Workload Security's licensing and price were cheaper than the other solutions we looked at."
  • "I understand that SentinelOne is a market leader, but the bill we received was astronomical."
  • "It's not expensive. The product is in its initial growth stages and appears more competitive compared to others. It comes in different variants, and I believe the enterprise version costs around $55 per user per year. I would rate it a five, somewhere fairly moderate."
  • "The pricing is fair. It is not inexpensive, and it is also not expensive. When managing a large organization, it is going to be costly, but it meets the business needs. In terms of what is out there on the market, it is fair and comparable to what I have seen, so I do not have any complaints about the cost"

  • "They support either annual licensing or hourly. At the time of our last negotiation, it was either one or the other, you could not mix or match. I would have liked to mix/match. "
  • "I would advise taking into account the existing number of devices and add a forecast of the number of devices to be added in the coming year or two, to obtain better pricing."
  • "It is a very straightforward licensing model that is based on the number of assets you are discovering and managing with the solution."
  • "The licensing and costs are straightforward, as they have a baseline of 100 workloads (number of instances) within one license with no additional nor hidden charges. If you want to have 200 workloads under Dome9, then you need to take out two licenses for that. Also, it does not have any impact on cloud billing, as data is shared using the API call. This is well within the limit of free API calls provided by the cloud provider."
  • "I suggest that you pay attention to the product pricing because while there are no tricks, and the licensing model is transparent, the final numbers may surprise you."
  • "Right now, we have licenses on 500 machines, and they are not cheap."
  • "The pricing is tremendous and super cheap. It is shockingly cheap for what you get out of it. I am happy with that. I hope that doesn't get reported back and they increase the prices. I love the pricing and the licensing makes sense. It is just assets: The more stuff that you have, the more you pay."
  • "Licensing and costs are straightforward, as they have a baseline of 100 workloads within one license and no additional charges."
