"Provides more visibility into applications."
"It has created total transparency between technology and business on all aspects of systems and performance as well as being a proxy for network performance through user experience monitoring. This followed a major performance degradation of our primary frontline system, which highlighted inadequacy of infrastructure focus tools, e.g., Nagios and Zabbix. It helped detect and remediate several performance issues on systems on both vendor supplied packages as well as in-house developed systems. It also improved InfraOps and development teams understanding of system behaviour and performance characteristics."
"We also got know many internal code bugs which could have caused memory leaks or other issues which we were not able to catch during that development phase."
"Dynatrace improved the resolution of problems by making it easier to find root causes and easier to predict bad system behaviour."
"We use Dynatrace to help us understand how applications perform in different platforms."
"With Dynatrace, we have synthetic checks and real-user monitoring of all of our websites, places where members and providers can interact with us over the web. We monitor the response times of those with Dynatrace, and it's all integrated into one place."
"We're able to tell them which calls, which methods, which interface were the problem."
"The Session Replay not only allows us to watch the user in 4K video, but to see the individual steps happening behind the scenes, from a developer perspective. It gives us every single step that a user takes in a session, along with the ability to watch it as a video playback. We can see each call to every server as the user goes through the site. If something is broken or not running optimally, it's going to come up in the Session Replay."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is reporting."
"The solution allows for a lot of customization."
"The reporting features, which offer customization, real-time insights, and compliance support, are particularly noteworthy aspects."
"The log events are quite useful for us."
"FortiAnalyzer has a robust ability to find a compromised host on your network, and when you identify a compromised host, you can address it."
"The most valuable features of Fortinet FortiAnalyzer are the GUI and there is automation that can be done with playbooks and mini-books."
"I have found incident management and also identifying new threats, analyzing the network traffic, and finding out the issues with the network traffic such as any security issues to be valuable. I also like the compliance reports."
"The analyzer is the most valuable feature."
"We're thinking about moving to Dynatrace because AppMon is not scaling for us."
"Cloud monitoring is insufficient. We would prefer Dynatrace to make more partnerships with major cloud applications like Salesforce, C4C, etc."
"For an easy view of global and entity-specific configurations, a separate tile or pane aggregating these configurations should be implemented."
"They need to develop how to capture the JDBC and MBeans metrics."
"Even with PurePath and the like, it still takes time, a day or whatever - or expert knowledge of some person - to be able to identify a problem quickly."
"It needs certain UI changes to make going back to certain Windows easier. Certain windows open up in a different category with different set values and throw you off if you are not used to it."
"Possibly include some network monitoring capabilities."
"It's not really user friendly. You need to go through a certain type of training."
"We would like to see some improvement on the upgrade process around this solution. There are sometimes communication issues when a new version of the firewall is implemented, and it fails to report back to this product."
"The only issue that I can see is with the cost. For example, if you buy support for one year, you are messed up next year. It's better to buy another gateway."
"The reports are good, but they are over-summarized."
"We'd like to see more embedded features."
"The FortiAnalyzer is not scalable."
"The pricing could be better."
"I don't find Fortinet FortiAnalyzer to be as robust as Check Point Security Management."
"The deployment of Fortinet FortiAnalyzer is not complex, but integrating it with firewalls can take some time, depending on the number of firewalls."
