Find out what your peers are saying about Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic and others in Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Observability."The stability is rock solid. We put a lot of stress on it."
"In my experience, Dynatrace is scalable."
"You don't have to configure it. It just needs to be installed."
"It helps developers fix old and new problems, helps businesses to understand conversions, statistics, and service health."
"It is a very good APM tool. There is a lot of thorough scanning of services and applications. It has got great monitoring features."
"We monitor end-to-end availability of the application and deep dive PurePath analysis of real user visits."
"The ability to real-time monitor servers and databases without any major drain on application resources is invaluable."
"One aspect of development is the concept of continuous improvements. There are key screens in our applications. We get identification, through Dynatrace on its own, that these are our top ten slow preforming screens."
"ThousandEyes gives companies better visibility."
"The solution is very easy to use."
"The most valuable features are integration and ease of use."
"The solution's initial setup process was straightforward...In terms of ROI, the solution is worth the money."
"The installation process is not hard at all."
"The company provides excellent service."
"The most valuable feature of ThousandEyes is user-friendliness. It has been essential for us to have a solution that is easy to use."
"The most valuable aspect of the solution was the ability to see how the connection quality is between the sites and get an alert if it was turning bad."
"When compared with other tools, the experience needs improvement. I would like them to build out the interactions and make them friendlier."
"They've leveraged those security gateways and renamed them ActiveGates, and now there are different web plugins we can run on it... Sometimes the development of those seems to be running very fast and it's not complete. They don't yet function quite as easily as the OneAgents do. But I have hopes that that's going to get better. We have tried the MQ, the Citrix, and the Oracle ActiveGate plugins. They could be sharper. It's the right direction to go. It just seems like it could be smoother."
"It is always requiring us to update the Dynatrace client."
"I would like a testing module focused on quality gates."
"With Linux or Windows, it automatically takes care of everything, so there's no need for you to do any manual config changes. But when it comes to AIX - because I implemented it two weeks back - you have to go back to kind of an AppMon approach, where you instrument agents for .NET applications. So if Dynatrace could make those changes and make it automated, that would be one of the biggest action items."
"It would be great to have Synthetic automatically retrieve what the customer sees on his side."
"When it comes to monitoring, we did the integration with VMware vCenter, and we were able to see some good stuff. The VMware vCenter integration was really great, but what we really missed was the integration with the network management stuff such as Cisco ACI. We wanted to see integration in that area, but it was not provided by Dynatrace. So, the main feature for us is integration with things like Cisco ACI. If they can bring that one in, with vCenter in there, it would be a total solution. It would be absolutely incomparable to anything else in the market."
"Filters should have a “negative” option."
"I would like the product to offer more agility."
"Once I fully use the tool 100%, I'm sure I would have something to critique, however, for now, I'm happy with it."
"The tool does not provide features for application-level monitoring."
"It would be nice if the solution covered other areas like server monitoring."
"ThousandEyes could improve the dashboards by adding more features."
"It might be practical to extend monitoring capabilities to include network devices"
"They only offer synthetic requests."
"The guest portal is hard to use."
