We performed a comparison between Elastic Security and Power Admin PA File Sight based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Splunk, Wazuh, Datadog and others in Log Management."Enables monitoring of application performance and the ability to predict behaviors."
"The most valuable feature is the machine learning capability."
"Elastic has a lot of beats, such as Winlogbeat and Filebeat. Beats are the agents that have to be installed on the terminals to send the data. When we install beats or Elastic agents on every terminal, they don't overload the terminals. In other SIEM solutions such as Splunk or QRadar, when beats or agents are installed on endpoints, they are very heavy for the terminals. They consume a lot of power of the terminals, whereas Elastic agents hardly consume any power and don't overload the terminals."
"Elastic Security is very easy to adapt."
"The most valuable feature for me is Discover."
"It's simple and easy to use."
"I can look at events from more than one source across multiple different locations and find patterns or anomalies. The machine learning capabilities are helpful, and I can create rules for notifications to be more proactive rather than responding after something has gone wrong."
"The most valuable features are the speed, detail, and visualization. It has the latest standards."
"The customers who have the use case of monitoring the file server and want to know the user's activity. It's the Power Admin's requirement."
"If the documentation were improved and made more clear for beginners, or even professionals, then we would be more attracted to this solution."
"It's a little bit of a learning curve to understand the logic of searching for things and trying to find what you're looking for in Elastic Security."
"With Elastic, you have to build the use cases for the specific requirement. Other products have a simple integration and more use cases to integrate out-of-the-box solutions for SIEM."
"The price of this product could be improved, especially the additional costs. I would also like to see better-quality graphics."
"We set up a cron job to delete old logs so that we wouldn't hit a disk space issue. Such a feature should be available in the UI, where old logs can be deleted automatically. (Don’t know if this feature is already there)."
"There are connectors to gather logs for Windows PCs and Linux PCs, but if we have to get the logs from Syslog then we have to do it manually, and this should be automated."
"We'd like better premium support."
"It could use maybe a little more on the Linux side."
"The setup takes half an hour. It will be a little complex."
