Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"From a security point of view, Google will alert you if anything strange is happening. They will flag it for you so you are aware.""Convenient to share and collaborate documents.""Reduces IT spend, freeing up cash for other areas: sales, marketing, recruitment, etc.""The solution helps us to collaborate.""When it comes to email, Google has a very good anti-spam engine or solution. We get very less spams. We don't have to use an external anti-spam solution with this.""The most valuable feature of Google Workspace is its ease of use and stability.""They are launching more and more features for mobile, which I understand our customers appreciate.""Valuable features of the solution are that it's simple and effective."

"The deployment is a plug-and-play process.""Exchange's interface is good. All of our engineers like it and are accustomed to using it.""The technical support is fine.""Provides unlimited storage for our mailbox.""Our customers are satisfied with the features included in Microsoft Exchange.""The email management system is very easy to set up, configure, and use.""I find Exchange's basic mail features to be highly valuable.""The availability group settings are better, so it has inherent scalability. In 2010, they added several sensible rules."

Cons
"I have had issues with my Google Address Book. I have an address book and it is available to everyone, but I cannot add additional users. In Microsoft Outlook, I could easily share certain contacts with other members of my team, but I cannot do so on G Suite.""Their tool called Sheets is the counterpart to Excel but it doesn't have the same functionality that Excel would have. So usually if somebody needs to go back to Excel or Office, it's because of Excel.""Google Mail's spam filter needs improvement. If I'm sending mail to another email user, sometimes it goes to the spam folder, and they won't know unless they check because they aren't seeing it in the primary inbox. They may miss important emails. At the same time, I'm receiving spam that shouldn't go to my inbox.""It would be nice to have additional software, such as Microsoft Teams, since our basic edition, Google Meet, cannot record video.""With Microsoft, you can use it on the web version, and you can use Microsoft Outlook. Google has the web version.""The stability should be addressed.""Improvements to G Suite would be the ability to collaborate more easily and better quality video compression in Google Meet.""The product could improve the number of participants allowed in a meeting and the strength of the meetings."

More Google Workspace Cons →

"Currently, its administration is too cumbersome. It's unwieldy. It's slow. It consumes too many resources. Configuration needs to be much more streamlined and administratively automated.""The calendar integration in Exchange is not that great. The email features are okay, but it doesn't integrate well with the calendar and appointments, especially Zoom appointments. It integrates fine with Microsoft Teams, but Zoom is a challenge.""They keep making all these changes, and our system was down for four or five days. They finally got it up, but there are still lots of quirks.""It doesn't work very well on a virtual machine. We had to move it around. There are also issues when you try to move it between computers.""Sometimes we don't get support quickly enough - for example, if there's some global hacker attack, we don't get served as quickly. The skills of the technical staff can also vary, and Microsoft could perhaps improve their training.""I don't have the best impression of customer service and support. It should be faster and more clear, and more human. T""The product or service could be improved in terms of Microsoft Outlook client compatibility.""In our current situation, the disappearance of sanctions would be a tangible improvement. We are basically cut off from technical support and it's very difficult to obtain any updates."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "G Suite and Microsoft Office 365 offer products with similar functionality at several different price points. Zoho offer a more extensive range of products and attempts to provide all the applications required to run most small and medium-sized businesses."
  • "Careful consideration should be given to the different licensing options and provisions should be made for additional applications that may be required for your particular business."
  • "Traffic management tools may be required for larger setups and should be included in any pricing calculations."
  • "There are several areas where a G Suite implementation can reduce costs: lower license fees than some competing products, reduced hardware, and IT support costs."
  • "There are benefits that can provide a competitive advantage, e.g., improved productivity (with appropriate training), increased collaboration (with correct use of tools), flexible working - work from home or remote locations, easy to scale - fast onboarding of new employees, and ability to add and remove licenses, as required."
  • "We receive value for the price that we pay."
  • "The pricing is a bit on the higher side than normal. For a basic Google account it costs $100, but Enterprise is %150."
  • "The price per client within the business is too high."

  • "They are flexible when it comes to pricing, unlike most of the other vendors I have dealt with."
  • "It's working very well. There is no problem, but the price is not the best."
  • "Its price is okay."
  • "It's a little bit expensive."
  • "Its price is very affordable, and basically, it is the standard of the industry. We have the Exchange 365 subscription, which includes the usage of Exchange Online. I don't know the specific cost, but it is the retail price of Microsoft 365 E3 licenses. Microsoft's licensing is not very easy to understand. Microsoft changes rules every other day, which makes it difficult for us to understand the licensing not only for Exchange but also for other products. It can sometimes be really complex to understand what you need to have in order to comply with Microsoft licensing."
  • "Microsoft doesn't have a unit price, it's based on the quantity, and they offer great discounts."
  • "We are currently using enterprise licenses for the solution. They are different pricing models available. There are individual, cloud-based, and enterprise licenses all with different pricing models. The larger the number of users, the lesser the price. For small to medium companies like us, we feel it is expensive."
  • "Its price is fair."
