We performed a comparison between IBM Integration Bus and JBoss ESB based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about IBM, MuleSoft, Software AG and others in Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)."IBM Integration Bus has been effective in facilitating our messaging and service-oriented architecture (SOA) or bus architecture. So, we're already utilizing it to transform the data from the source it's sending. It converts the data from the format the source sends it into the format the destination system requires. So we are transforming the messages, which are required by the destination system; that's the one way."
"It has the ability to be deployed without rewriting the code."
"I have found the inbound and outbound adapter confirmations valuable."
"The system's stability is the most valuable feature."
"IBM Integration Bus is flexible, easy to use, and easy to configure."
"The most valuable feature is that it is clear and easy to learn."
"It aligns well with containerized environments, which increases its scalability and high availability."
"It allows us to avoid the need for consumers to understand multiple API protocols and security arrangements, and in some circumstances can reduce the impact of systems being unavailable."
"The solution is very easy to use. I can download the trial version and just give it a go."
"I would like to be able to build an Integration Bus cluster that is active-active."
"The product does not provide API management."
"The solution is complex and there is a need for more resources and greatly improved quality."
"The solution is too expensive for smaller companies."
"This solution would benefit from improvements to the configuration interface."
"We decided to move away from IBM Integration Bus for IT technical refreshments."
"It needs improvement in terms of technical support as well as in terms of integration of data mining. I am not convinced about many things in this solution, such as the conversion of the DFDL or copybook file, which is the conversion from a text file to XML. It is very complex. They should also provide more information about this solution in the IBM Knowledge Center. I can get a lot of information from the IBM Knowledge Center about DataStage, but I don't get that much information about IBM Integration Bus. There is hardly any information even on the internet and various channels such as YouTube. They can provide good step-by-step documentation based on a company's requirements. It would be really helpful. My company is mainly looking for data mining and communicating with multiple servers. IBM Integration Bus is good for communicating with multiple servers, but it needs improvement for XML conversion and data mining. We have a lot of old systems that use XML."
"IBM Integration Bus could be easier to manage, but this is true of all vendors. It doesn't always do what it says on the box."
"The EPA, from what I understand, lacks a lot of features and it doesn't really know how to interface with legacy systems or how to develop APIs for legacy systems."
