We performed a comparison between Ivanti Security Controls and Microsoft Configuration Manager based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Patch Management solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."What has been most valuable is the ability to manage, restore and install upgrades and applications. We scan PCs and server and receive results."
"Technical support is helpful and responsive."
"The cloud account management is a valuable feature."
"The scalability to deploy the package."
"The ability to make collections and deploy to them has been great."
"I like its ease of use. It does what you need it to do, and it's a one-stop-shop for the company and for all your deployments. If you incorporate Intune into it, you can have both. You can bring your own devices and corporate devices, and everything runs out of SCCM and Intune."
"It gives us the ability to set up schedules, according to what our security requirements are, to automate the patching of our servers and desktops."
"You can remote control or RDP. That has been the most valuable because we can go into one console and can get to anything we want. Instead of going to all these different consoles, we centralized everything."
"Technical support was helpful and responsive."
"Software deployment and WSUS are most valuable."
"For the Windows upgrade, the errors we experience are not clear. We see a time out error but do not know the reason. We would like to know the root cause."
"It should be more scalable."
"In terms of scalability, I believe there's room for improvement. While SCCM is capable of handling our current needs effectively, scalability could be enhanced to accommodate future growth and larger deployments."
"There is no asset management package included."
"It would be better if reporting were more user-friendly. I would like to see an upgrade in the reporting structure in the next release. At the moment, you have to use an SQL query or configure it to pull reports through the graphical user interface. Their updates could be more regular. I think Mircosoft updates it every six months. They are also moving many things to Intune, and Microsoft decided to move the deployment solution there. I think SCCM is getting old, and Intune is new."
"The operations could be faster and you need some patience with this tool."
"The availability of technical support could improve."
"The solution is a bit heavy on the sources such as RAM or CPU and the software needs to be a bit lighter."
"The TSM component could be improved."
"The solution does not support remote devices so the CMG is still required."
