We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The best thing is it's on the cloud. It's easily accessible to everyone through a mobile device, tablet, or laptop. Secondly, it's secure. Like any URL shared will not work after a few hours. Only the person concerned who has that URL can use it within a few hours to download the document. After that, it expires. Thirdly, we all keep an archive. For example, if there are old documents, they are still stored over there. Another nice Azure feature is that they have the regional set up for that storage, and there's no downtime, and I'm grateful for that. We don't have to worry, because it's secure. If something goes down, they have other copies of it on a separate server, and it's accessible.""We have had a good experience with customer service and support.""The most valuable feature of Microsoft Azure Object Storage is its ease of use.""Microsoft Azure Object Storage offers hassle-free usage. It is easy to configure.""The most valuable feature is the cost value, which is very important for long term retention.""It is a stable solution and serve our purposes""The file retention and object retention have been most valuable.""The most valuable feature is the API because it is very flexible."

"The most valuable features of the tool are scalability and security.""One key feature is that you can make buckets private, requiring pre-authentication and using a specific URL for access. Additionally, the buckets are encrypted by default. The flexibility of public or private buckets and how you grant access are vital security features.""The solution's most valuable features are its speed, unlimited space, and simplicity of use."

Cons
"The cost of support is always expensive.""Object re-use should be improved in order to get better performance and reduce the cost.""The password retrieval process was very difficult.""We would like it if we did not have to use another encryption solution to encrypt the storage.""Currently, the Microsoft Azure Storage Explorer is just a Windows app. I don't know if it's available on mobile, such as iOS or Android. I don't know if the app is mobile-friendly. It should be mobile-friendly.""They could provide multiple tools to provide you with cost calculations, giving you a better picture or providing better details of the cost calculations over the years.""The setup process could always be a bit easier.""Improvements should be made as per customer requirements."

More Microsoft Azure Object Storage Cons →

"The solution should provide more customization and the possibility of doing more manual tasks.""Oracle Cloud Object Storage needs to have an additional bucket for security.""Sometimes, there are glitches with applying policies. Even when the policy is correct, it might not work consistently. We need to troubleshoot to see if it's a user error or if the policy itself needs adjustment. It usually works after refreshing, but that inconsistency is a minor complexity."

  • "The cost of this solution is high compared to others, although there are no costs in addition to the standard licensing fees."
  • "The cost should be reduced to make it more competitive."
  • "Pricing is always confusing for all Microsoft products. For this solution, they do provide the estimates, but it is not easy to guess the exact amount that we will be billed."
  • "We have a separate package and pay extra for additional technical support."
  • "The licensing cost of Microsoft Azure Object Storage is monthly. We have two types of licenses. One is the EA enterprise license and the other is a CSP license."
  • "It has a pay-as-you-go model. So, you are only paying for what you store. It's an attractive model. You don't pay for a set; you pay for what you actually use."
