We performed a comparison between Malwarebytes and Trellix Endpoint Security based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The main thing is that I feel safe. Because the processes that have been used to get a handle on the attackers are much better than other competitors"
"The solution was relatively easy to deploy."
"Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance."
"It is a scalable solution...The initial setup of Fortinet FortiEDR was straightforward."
"Fortinet FortiEDR's firewalling, rule creation, monitoring, and inspection profiles are great."
"Fortinet FortiEDR made our clients feel secure and more at ease, knowing that they had an EDR solution that would close the gap in their security posture."
"Ability to get forensics details and also memory exfiltration."
"Impressive detection capabilities"
"The solution has a good management interface."
"The most valuable feature is its ability to customize for different groups."
"The most valuable features of Malwarebytes are the EDR and the complete feature set provided."
"The product provides notifications for suspicious events. We have several public access points. The product helps to prevent unauthorized entry. Its most valuable features are pre-installation procedures and a cloud console. The console's interface is simple and can be viewed easily to take action. It covers everything in terms of security threats."
"It's very versatile and thorough."
"When it comes to frontend protections, it has some of the best definitions. In addition, they do traditional signature and heuristic detection a lot better than Microsoft and some other players in that space."
"This solution helps us by providing central management of anti-malware and anti-exploit functionality."
"The installation process is very easy, especially since it is on the cloud."
"I feel McAfee Endpoint Security to be a good, mature product."
"It provides a robust defense against cybersecurity threats while offering user-friendly features like notifications and approval prompts."
"We like the management of the ePO, and we like the management console."
"It also allows multifunctionality within a single platform."
"The primary reason the solution is good is because of its ease-of-use."
"Trellix Endpoint Security's dashboard is very flexible, and I can create my own user-specific dashboard depending on user privilege or preference."
"The DLP and user interface are the most valuable feature."
"The most valuable features of the solution include DLP (data loss prevention), CASB (cloud access security broker) functionality, endpoint encryption, and cloud workload security."
"Intelligence aspects need improvement"
"There's room for improvement in the quick response time and technical support for integration issues, especially when dealing with multiple vendors."
"We've had a lot of false positives; things incorrectly flagged that require manual configuration to allow. Even worse, after we allow a legitimate program, it sometimes gets flagged again after an update. This has caused a lot of extra work for my team."
"The solution is not stable."
"The support needs improvement."
"We've encountered challenges during API deployment, occasionally resulting in unstable environments."
"They can include the automation for the realtime updates. We have a network infrastructure with remote sites. Whenever they send updates, they are not automated. We have to go into the console and push those updates. I wish it was more automated. The update file is currently around 31 MB. It could be smaller."
"To improve Fortinet, we need to see more features and technology areas at the endpoint level introduced."
"It would be better if updates could be downloaded, and deployed, on-premises to avoid low bandwidth causing issues."
"I would like to see integration with other vendors going forward."
"There is room for improvement in the way it is deployed, in terms of being able to distribute it. Right now we have to get our hands on a machine to deploy it. It would be nice if there was an easier system."
"A solution must be installed in the main gateway to give an overview of the incoming and outgoing traffic. The technical support team's response time should be faster."
"The product is a little bit more expensive than the other brands."
"We experience a lot of false positives."
"It's not good in search hunting."
"Notifications are lacking."
"Although they have increased the complexity, it has affected the scanning speed."
"The product is not easy to use."
"The security of this solution needs improvement."
"If there's a possibility for remote assistance or investigation support in the future, it would be beneficial. Currently, we use another remote software for such purposes. If this feature could be included in the next version, that would be an improvement. The feature is called Remote Administration. I'm somewhat satisfied, but there's an issue I recently encountered. When attempting to scan a suspected host machine, Symantec Endpoint Security did not provide any alerts. However, when we installed Malwarebytes and ran a scan, it detected a threat that wasn't identified by Symantec. We raised this concern with the team for resolution, and the investigation is still ongoing."
"The initial setup isn't so easy. You need to know what you are doing."
"It didn't work well for some of the use cases. We have different use cases for each entity. Their support is also not good and needs improvement."
"I think it would be nice if Dynamic Application Control would come together with McAfee Endpoint Security."
"The resolution time should be faster."
