We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The company wants to implement the idea of democracy within IT. As an end user, you can do a lot by yourself, so you do not have to write code. The idea is that they go for low-code and they use flow. It's possible to update records and do things like automation without writing real codes. I think this is one of the advantages of the solution.""We can also customize Salesforce Sales Cloud to our customer's company requirements. As for your demand, you can customize it. There are so many configurations we can do with the application. There is a lot of functionality that you can implement. It's an easy-to-use, user-friendly, and secure platform.""The most valuable features are custom objects, custom workflows, triggering, and integration with other SaaS solutions.""This product is lightweight.""I have found Salesforce Sales Cloud to be stable.""The tracking and monitoring of daily activities within each account is the most valuable aspect of Salesforce Sales Cloud. It allows for staying informed about ongoing activities, ensuring comprehensive visibility into the progress made within each account on a regular basis. Additionally, the plugins that are available, such as ZoolInfo are useful.""You can adapt Salesforce for all customer needs.""The development cost, maintenance cost, everything will be drastically reduced - unlike traditional infrastructure where we maintain everything on our own."

"The most valuable features are the ease of use and the UI. It's much better compared to all the competitor applications out there. I've literally used all the applications that are in the market, and UiPath has been, by far, the best. Another prime factor is that scales up horizontally and is on the cloud, on AWS cloud. That's where we host our processes and our services. That connectivity feature, the availability, is a primary winning element.""The most valuable feature in Orchestrator is that it stores the credentials in a safe way.""We have found it to be quite valuable as we actively deploy and use bots, which have become a significant asset to our operations.""Being able to understand that your path is structured as a process flow, you are still able to declare variables, and ensure the background logic is sound. You are also able to really visualize what the process needs to do and the paths that it needs to take: true, false, etc. So, it has been very useful in terms of crafting it.""We’ve improved our efficiency in a way for sure. Even just our cost analysis has improved. When we do new contracts, we know what it's going to cost exactly.""Compared to other RPA tools that require knowledge of a programming language, UiPath requires less coding.""It is easy to use as drag-and-drop features are present.""To build automation using UiPath is fairly simple. The studio is quite easy to use. Even now, with the community edition, it’s great."

Cons
"Auto clean for duplicate leads, accounts, and contacts needs improving.""I would like if Sales Cloud had the flexibility to create or edit the forms used to submit requests. Right now, they're fixed, and users can't edit them. Only administrators have editing privileges, so it takes too long to make changes.""The solution's design could be improved.""The solution's configuration could be improved because getting a purchase order and administrating the right fields can be a real headache for us, especially when the Sales Cloud system enters an error stage.""It might be easier if there were better integration with other sales systems or clouds that are not powered by Salesforce. For example, when we work with partners, such as Amazon or any other major tech company, sometimes we collaborate to develop a sales lead.""I would like to see licensing fees reduced in the next release.""The reporting formats could be better.""It is a bit pricey."

More Salesforce Sales Cloud Cons →

"UiPath does not have a delivery product.""We have not seen it do OCR, and that would be helpful. Right now, the tool will not read a PDF file, and we can't use PDF files. We want it to able to take an image, then take that image and put the particular field out in the right spot in a table. We have not seen it where you can scan a document in, then it reads fields and places those in a table.""Sometimes, UiPath support is like a lottery. They have many intelligent people who can get you what you need, but it depends on whether the person you're assigned knows the solution. It might be that they have so many customers and not enough staff. The ticket response times can be pretty slow.""The UiPath Community does not provide version control for the community edition.""The combination of Orchestrator and Studio is a bit on the higher side, price-wise, for some companies.""I really wish that UiPath would have moderators in their forums who are more active. There are a lot of questions that go unanswered, and that is a shame.""The machine learning and artificial intelligence components need to be enhanced and become more efficient.""On the investment side, it is a huge investment, especially with the current situation in Sri Lanka. If they can reduce the price or provide affordable packages, it will be very helpful."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The subscription is on a monthly basis."
  • "The main issue is the price. Because it's SaaS, you will have to pay on a monthly or yearly basis."
  • "It is a premium product, so it is not the cheapest solution. I think if it's implemented well, and you're getting the soft cost benefits, the efficiencies, it's justified. But not if you're looking at just apples for apples as a subscription, without the complexity that you can achieve. It can deal with complex business requirements. Some other CRMs can't. But you certainly pay, so it's a premium-charged solution. It's one of the more expensive ones."
  • "I have found Salesforce Sales Cloud to be expensive. However, it is the number one CRM solution in the world. It is worth the money."
  • "The main thing is it is costly. Salesforce it is not cheap, it's costly. Some of our customers say it is a costly solution. So, we have lost some sale opportunities regarding the high price. This is the main thing that we are facing. It is sales per user and the user price is about $150 per month, per user for the Enterprise Edition. The other edition is less than this, but it is costly. A company that has 70 or 80 users would pay more than $8,000 USD yearly because it is cloud based."
  • "My understanding is that Salesforce is a little bit expensive, but in terms of the efficiencies, automation, and visibility, I think it's definitely value for money."
  • "Implementation and add-ons may be additional costs."
  • "Being license based, the license varies by type. The pricing is considered average."

  • "It costs much less and it does much more than the competitors' solutions."
  • "The pricing differs on the requirements. If there is a huge purchase, then we get a discount. There is not a fixed pricing of the product."
  • "If you want to do a demo trial, it is a 30 days free."
  • "The community edition is completely free. Then, people say, "There is nothing to lose, let me try it.""
  • "There are operational benefits in terms of time savings and user satisfaction of not having to do menial, repetitive tasks."
  • "Traditionally, Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism are the biggest things competing against UiPath. Those are usually what most of the clients lean towards, if they see a cheaper licensing option. Clients choose UiPath because it's easier to deploy and learn within their teams."
  • "We saw ROI in 15 days."
  • "They give it away in the community edition for free, so I use it at home."
