We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Easy to share information and the integration with JIRA is good.""The templates are a valuable feature. You can make templates. There is a space inside where you can create pages. When you use the template, the page auto-generates text and images. You do not have to think about the structure of your page as well, which I think is a very good thing for a user. Because usually when you're in front of a blank page, it can be a bit dreadful to know where to start.""It seems highly scalable. There are 500 end users using this solution.""A simple tool for developers to write and record team decisions explaining the product that they are creating.""The best feature is document management.""The most valuable feature of Atlassian Confluence it's very easy to use and there are different options.""Collaboration is most valuable. You can upload or create your documents on Confluence and share them with your team members. Your team members also can share documents.""It has a very intuitive user interface, which every user able to manage the basic functionality of a PC will be able to work with and produce quite satisfactory results."

"The planner and the breakout rooms are good and helpful features in Microsoft Teams.""The most valuable feature of Microsoft Teams is that I can attach files in any format.""The conversation capabilities and document management are the solution's most valuable features.""The communication part has been excellent so far.""The most valuable feature of the solution is its newest rolled-out feature, called the town hall meeting feature.""I like the tool's screen share feature.""The solution helps us to accelerate communication. We use Teams to contact colleagues during emergencies instead of regular electronic phones. It helps to keep everything organized and centralized in the same place. The product is also very easy to use. I am also impressed with the solution's possibility of making quick calls and creating groups.""I like the solution's chat and meeting feature. We have different teams and the product helps us to communicate fastly. Within five minutes all the teams can be on the same page."

Cons
"There is room for improvement in terms of pricing.""There is no concept of peer review or a draft mode - whatever you write is live.""There needs to be a flexible pricing model, where we can pick and choose services and customize our pricing model.""There are some issues with performance when creating tables.""The standard table capability is substandard and virtually unusable.""Confluence could incorporate stronger records management and automation features. The current management structure is too open, which becomes an issue.""The user interface could be improved.""The one way in which this solution could be improved is by offering better design and UI."

"They should add an integration API for the solution.""The way we test the audio devices must be improved.""Microsoft Teams' current features are not user-friendly, making it difficult for end-users to locate and understand them. There have also been issues with crashes, which is a concern in the current scenario.""Microsoft Teams can start being more interactive and intuitive by implementing artificial intelligence and machine learning.""The solution's security feature needs enhancement for external collaborations with business partners and vendors.""I have faced issues with connection. Maybe, it's an issue from my side. The company accounts in Teams has some issues as well. I could not establish calls with certain domains, and then the product asked me to buy a professional account. The problem with Teams is that they are split between professional or company accounts and personal accounts. It's not very clear how you can go from one to another. That's the main issue with teams.""They need to improve the scalability of Teams.""The software could be optimized for Mac systems because sometimes it is slow and consumes a lot of memory."

Because Microsoft Teams is not a wiki, therefore it makes no sense to compare it to Confluence, a wiki.

And one should be careful not to store wiki content in (Teams) chats because the data in the chat is not structured and is very difficult to find again.

We would never choose Atlassian products again because the prices increase very much every year, longstanding errors are not fixed, the licensing for on-premise is exorbitantly high and you are practically forced to store the data on the Atlassian servers.

That's why we have several projects underway that aim to replace JIRA, Confluence, etc. And it is a great joy and relief for all team members to be getting closer to this goal.
