Pros
"The connection configuration part and the drag-and-drop integration module are the most valuable features for me.""The iPaaS functionality is very mature. The browser based IDE is also very mature and stable.""Extremely flexible for any kind of integration between systems.""The best features are that it is a cloud-based and a multi-tenant tool.""This is a fairly easy-to-use tool for integration which can be self-taught for those with a bit of a technical background.""The Salesforce and NetSuite Application specific “connectors” provide a layer of abstraction on top of the SOAP-based APIs to streamline integration development.""The tool's most valuable features I've found are related to debugging and testing. It makes it easy to track execution, documents, and process history. This functionality is particularly useful for identifying issues with data and providing insights to the business.""The most valuable feature of the solution is its monitoring part to debug certain issues and find problems."

"The solution's technical support is good.""The initial setup is easy...The solution gets automatically connected. The deployment takes six months. Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The Platinum package is good for licensing, but I’m not sure about the cost and improvements."

  • "The licensing model of Dell Boomi is based on a ‘pay-per-use’ model."
  • "This solution is very economical (based on the connections)."
  • "The pricing is a bit complex. While the entry fee may be lower than other solutions, it could be expensive depending on your usage."
  • "When it comes to pricing, it's not so much about being less expensive as it is about how they don't tie to the hardware on the underlined VMware that you run on, as other vendors do"
  • "The cost of the solution is in the neighborhood of $20,000 annually. There are no costs above the standard licensing fee."
  • "Approximately 20k annually."

    Overview

The Boomi AtomSphere integration platform as a service (iPaaS) supports all your application integration processes – between cloud platforms, software-as-a-service applications, and on-premises systems. Your entire team has online access to a powerful range of integration and data management capabilities, that can be realized in a fraction of the time of legacy middleware technologies.

SAP NetWeaver Process Integration facilitates the integration of business processes that span different departments, organizations, or companies. SAP PI is based on general standards so as to enable 3rd-party systems to be integrated. At the center of SAP PI is an XML-based communication that uses HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol). Irrespective of the scenario used, the application-specific contents are transferred in messages in user-defined XML eXtensible Markup Language) from the sender to the receiver either via the Integration Server, or directly between the systems involved. SAP PI can be installed in different ways: Dual usage type installation: Based on both AS ABAP and AS Java. and Advanced Adapter Engine Extended (AEX): Based on AS Java only.
