Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"One of the advantages of Dropbox is that you can share files with people who are external to your organization without any additional costs. It is also easy to use, stable, and trustworthy.""The product's initial setup phase was easy.""The performance is good.""For me, the biggest thing is version history. I can easily go back and view older versions.""I think Dropbox is a good option for Windows users because it's easy to use in Windows and a user can access all other products and software.""A valuable feature is that it's useful for exchanging large files and documents. I'm happy with it.""Dropbox has a simple interface, and it's pretty straightforward.""Dropbox is easy to use."

"The ability to add metadata and use that to categorize information is a valuable feature of OpenText Extended ECM.""Smart Viewing videos are most valuable for the end users. The end users like the look and feel of Smart View. It's similar to SharePoint, with the latest HTML5 features, filters, and everything. It's like online shopping.""We use Core Share to share documents with external auditors or with vendors, and that prevents them from being able to get into the whole system. It is useful.""It's a very good solution.""The integration of a document management platform with many other applications, e.g. SAP, SuccessFactors, Salesforce, SharePoint, etc.""Being able to tag metadata on documents and being able to have different workspaces in there for our documents is valuable. We do loan documents, and different types of documents have different types of retentions. We are able to categorize based on that, and we are able to do tag searching to find what we are looking for.""Most of our customers are very fond of the upgraded smart user interface.""Retention is useful. I have been pleased with the search functionality and the extensibility for tying it into integrations with other systems and building workflows on top of it."

Cons
"We are moving to Microsoft Teams. Instead of Dropbox, we will be using Microsoft Teams that has the advantage of saving the versions. It supports file versioning so that you can always go back to the previous version if you want to. If somebody has made a change in one of the files and you don't know what changes have been made, you can always go back to the previous version. This feature led us to migrate to Microsoft Teams. With Dropbox, there is no option for simultaneous work. This feature is there in Google Files. In Microsoft Teams, you can invite team members to collaborate. That is the reason why I prefer Microsoft Teams over Dropbox. It should also have more integration with other solutions.""The solution could provide more capacity for free.""The problem with the storage is that you are only able to synchronize the information within the amount of storage that you have. It doesn't matter if you are accessing from a team member who has more storage, the limitations are with your storage.""There is a potential improvement regarding storage capacity and offering more than its current four gigabytes.""I see that if you use a mobile device that does not allow you to properly configure the email part with Dropbox, then you cannot access it.""I would like to see integration with Office products, it would be very helpful.""It would be good if they could market themselves as a safe solution for corporates. Currently, most corporates don't see it as a safe area to share within.""They can provide more storage. Data is something that everybody is after. Any organization that has the requirement of data for any type of analysis will definitely need increased storage."

More Dropbox Cons →

"The solution should work better with partners and be more developer-friendly.""There are no additional features that I would like to see. I am pretty happy with it, but their support could be a bit better.""A dashboard with information would be nice to see.""The architecture needs improvement, as it's complex.""Initially there can be stability issues due to unknown factors such as usage of the system, quantity of documents ingested, load during peak hours.""Pricing could be improved and the stability or the performance needs improvement, which is very important.""The initial setup can get really complicated, and it takes time.""The solution needs to improve the user interface."

Pricing and Cost Advice

  • "It has some free features, but for some of the features, you need to pay. If you need more storage, then you need to pay. Its licensing probably is on a monthly basis."
  • "I am on a monthly subscription for the solution and I am somewhat satisfied with the pricing. However, the price could a bit better."
