Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable feature of QuickBase is its dynamic form capabilities. These forms allow backend automation, making tasks like updating data based on specific conditions much easier.""It provides a well-organized method for overseeing everything, especially considering the remote work aspect.""The need for little to no code knowledge has been huge.""QuickBase reminds me when a software license or a hardware support contract is near expiration so that I can initiate our company's procurement process in time and not miss a deadline.""It has helped streamline and simply track status and collection of data from suppliers and other internal departments.""We have made good use of the ability in QuickBase to add multiple apps for various departments and purposes, while some apps are shared.""The usability of QuickBase largely depends on how you design your workflows within the platform. If you keep them simple and straightforward, it can be a highly usable product.""I am impressed with the product's automation which makes everything easy."

"The product is easy to use.""It is a stable and scalable solution.""The solution is straightforward. Whenever a requirement arises, we create three things in Smartsheet: a project plan, a dashboard, and internal documents. It is done through the form and Smartsheet's automation services. This process shortens the time to market from seven days to less than 12 hours.""Smartsheet is easy to use.""To me, one of the most powerful features of Smartsheet is being able to email others.""The most valuable features of Smartsheet are its collaboration tools, the ability to centralize and prioritize projects, and robust reporting capabilities.""It is my favorite project management tool. The reason for that is that it is very flexible. It is much easier to use than Microsoft Project in terms of creating custom fields. It is very similar to Excel. So, people understand it, which makes it a little bit easier to use for most users.""Smartsheet does a really good job of creating Gantt charts. Export to Excel feature was also very useful."

Cons
". For example, we need a third-party to create and save a document in PDF, MS Word, or MS Excel format. The document saving capability is probably the feature that we most often have to procure from an outside provider.""The dashboard is not organized.""Whenever we do onboarding, or we get new employees, there tends to be a delay of not just a week but a couple of weeks, and sometimes even a few weeks of being able to see certain new employees in the system.""Its UI needs improvement. They should improve it and make it a little bit more modern. We should also be able to have more real-time information that connects with other software platforms. It has an open API, but it doesn't always connect with some of the other platforms that we would like to utilize. These are probably two of the biggest things for us, and hopefully, they will keep ensuring that in the future, they continually build QuickBase to be a little bit more efficient in that regard.""I would like to see better options for producing paper reports from Quick Base, rather than viewing things exclusively on screen.""I would like to see the reporting enhanced because some of them are not easy to generate.""This rule: The Maximum is 60 rules. We need to provide more in order to improve.""I would like the product to add more working processes."

More QuickBase Cons →

"Smartsheet's export and print functions could be more seamless. Once I create the plan in Smartsheet, I need to import it into my corporate web presentations. This isn't always smooth. I have to save it in PDF format, then cut an image from the PDF version.""Smartsheet could improve the UI and integrations. Some of Smartsheet's competitors have more than 2,000 integrations while Smartsheet only has approximately 40 integration applications.""It would be beneficial to enhance user-friendliness and make it less complex while maintaining its overall excellence as a product.""Maybe the solution could be a little bit more flexible.""With a large quantity of data, the solution lags a bit.""The integration with Microsoft products should be improved.""The solution should include integrations with other platforms or software.""Smartsheet could improve by having seamless integration with Azure Board."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing for QuickBase is pretty straightforward, It is based on a per user/per month licensing fee."
  • "We felt the pricing and licensing for QuickBase were easy enough to understand, fair and competitive."
  • "Quickbase is probably not the cheapest app out there. That said, it is worth its weight in gold. There is no other app that I know of in the market today that can do what Quickbase does."
  • "You have to negotiate the price because it varies based on the number of users you have, as well as how much cloud storage space you need."
  • "It is probably about 300 per license per person. There is just the licensing cost. There are no additional costs."
  • "The product is cheap when compared to other products."
  • "The pricing for the tier my company used included ten seats and the subcontractor, amounting to approximately $18,000 USD per year."
  • "The solution is expensive and geared toward enterprise-level clients."
  • More QuickBase Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "This licensing is straightforward and they charge per user."
  • "Its licensing is on a yearly basis. I was responsible for negotiating the price with the Smartsheet team, but I don't remember what the price was. Its standard license probably was around 5,000 to 6,000 a year. The enterprise version is significantly more expensive."
  • "Smartsheet only requires licenses for project managers. When we were using Asana, we had to purchase a license for everyone who wanted to access their tasks and use the system. That gets costly fast. It was one of the main reasons we left Asana. As Asana and these other tools scale, they become way more expensive."
  • "There would be more extensive usage if the solution were cheaper. It's really expensive right now, and that's why we provide a few licenses for admins. The rest of them are just users without admin privileges."
  • "I would assume there is a licensing fee. I don't think that it is free."
  • "It is less expensive than Microsoft Project for enterprise or Oracle Primavera by an order of magnitude. If you buy a Microsoft Project license, it's probably $300 or so by itself, whereas Smartsheet is probably less than $50 per head."
  • "For a normal license, like the one I had: I had my own Smartsheet because I wanted to play with it and I didn't want to mess with what I was doing in Verizon, so I paid $200 monthly, and it gave me all the same functionalities, so I could do whatever I wanted for $200. The problem is if you have anyone else working on it or deploying on it, it's $200 a month for every single person who's deployed on it, that's working on it as an owner or an administrator, so owners and administrators are the only ones who can change, edit, and add data to worksheets and columns. Depending on the size of your organization, Smartsheet can be costly. As for implementing its Control Center, Smartsheet forces you to have three people come in: it's a minimum of three people from Smartsheet for three months who will provide you the solutions for the Control Center side, and that's $150 an hour, so it can become very expensive. For my company, not having the Control Center would save on the setup fees and then the $20,000 a year, because the Control Center of Smartsheet is a yearly subscription of $20,000."
  • "Smartsheet has many licensing models. You need to add the package that best suits your requirements. The license is paid per user and it is monthly. The cost was approximately $7 per PC, $15 for professional, and $33 for the enterprise plan."
